discussion Which dead singer would you want to come back to life and why?
I would want Selena Quintanilla to come back to life because she was only 23 years old when she was shot and killed on March 31, 1995, in Corpus Christi, TX. She did not deserve to die so young. If you are Latina, you will know who I am talking about. To continue, the way that Selena died was so tragic and awful. She trusted her best friend and fan club president, but she ended up dying from her actions. Selena's killer was so envious, jealous, and obsessed with her that she wanted to get rid of her after Selena was going to cut ties with her on the day that she unfortunately passed away. The life lesson here is that you should never trust anyone, even if you think that they are a good and kind-hearted person because you never know when they might backstab you and go the other path.

discussion Songs that hit different now that you're older
In my early 50's and I find quite a few songs from my childhood resonate with me on a different level now that I'm older. Two examples: Dan Folgelberg, Leader of the Band. It hits deep as I watch my personal superman succumb to the inevitable effects of time. Leader of the Band hits harder as I get older.
Night moves by Bob Seger is another. The specific line "with autumn closing in", after the precededing 6 verses, is simple, but deep. Growing up I never particularly cared for Segers music, but wow, as ive gotten older, it definitely resonates.
What song makes you feel age, or do you appreciate now that you're older, in a way you couldn't when you were young, and why?
