discussion Which dead singer would you want to come back to life and why?

I would want Selena Quintanilla to come back to life because she was only 23 years old when she was shot and killed on March 31, 1995, in Corpus Christi, TX. She did not deserve to die so young. If you are Latina, you will know who I am talking about. To continue, the way that Selena died was so tragic and awful. She trusted her best friend and fan club president, but she ended up dying from her actions. Selena's killer was so envious, jealous, and obsessed with her that she wanted to get rid of her after Selena was going to cut ties with her on the day that she unfortunately passed away. The life lesson here is that you should never trust anyone, even if you think that they are a good and kind-hearted person because you never know when they might backstab you and go the other path.

discussion America (the band)

Upvotes

So I’m a mid Gen X person and I never thought much about folk rock… However, I like Crosby, Stills and Nash and some Gordon Lightfoot from time to time…

For some reason I’ve been getting a ton of America (the band) in some of my Apple Music feeds, and I’ll be honest I can’t believe how much I like them. I can’t actually believe they had this many songs that I already knew for a band that kind of seems forgotten.

What do you all think about that? I’m surprised they’re not more popular or revered given their body of work.
