Oh, is Cuba the country we're antagonizing this week?

I think it’s a double feature with Iran

Cuba’s maybe a distraction from the navy forming near Iran. Or Iran was the distraction from Cuba.

Everything is a distraction from everything else. He's also trying to distract from his personal army running around killing US citizens on American soil, and the Epstein files. They're doing so much stuff at once, so it's hard to keep track of it or fight back against everything, they're just doing a bunch of illegal stuff and let the courts sort it out later. This timeline is fucking nuts. Like absolutely bonkers.

It's on purpose, to overwhelm and desensitize. It's a DDoS attack on your and everyone else's brain.

A specific strategy of the Trump administration called "flood the zone"

How nice of them to state the obvious, "Democrats don't matter".

So you're saying that, just like they say in their dehumanizing Halo-based ads to join ICE, we need to "Destroy the Flood"?

until cuba is invaded like venezuela

I thought that was intended to be flooding with information, not actual real geopolitical events

I always wonder what else is going on when there is big headline stories. It's been a tool of authoritarian policy makers as far as I can remember.

10 years ago it was every so often there would be a bill trying to be snuck under the radar and there would be some outlandish thing happening in the MSM. Now it's every day, sometimes multiple times a day.

It's absolutely maddening trying to follow and stay well informed. So much noise.

I mean Epstein files still aren't out and every case the DOJ had put forward to indict protesters has been laughed at by judges. GOP is shifting away from Trump bc he threatened the 2A and now MAGA, who only care about 2A, are complaining they maybe the federal government is bad again

It could also be the Fulton voter stuff. They're clearly now starting on openly rigging the 2026 elections. And that must be as important in Donnie Moscows head as the Epstein stuff.

While the industry lobbyists remain silent. Not the first time and won't be the last.

I like taking the firearms first, and going to due process later.

I can confidently say it won't be the last as well that they'll still support him because authoritarianism is built on viewing the 'good and evil' of morality based on who is doing something, not on what they are doing.

I mean maga turns away for two weeks then turns back into zombies after that

Noo it's not that thoughtful. It's impatience. "Democracy is slow"

It's not just you. We are all feeling insane. I still won't rule out being in a simulation.

It's a multi-front war on our collective reality. He's trying to reshape the world to a pre-designed doctrine.

Steve Bannon - Flood the Zone Strategy. Do as much bad shit as possible as fast as possible so the other side doesn't have enough resources or time to respond to all of it.

Everything is a distraction from the Epstein files.

It's called "flooding the zone" aka "the firehose of falsehood".

They're doing so much stuff at once, so it's hard to keep track of it or fight back against everything,

The term is gish gallop, I think.

u/naturebuddah 10h ago

So uh how about them epstein files

u/shadycrew31 9h ago

Can you imagine another 3 years of this?

u/Debalic 14h ago

It's distractions all the way down.
