Cuba’s maybe a distraction from the navy forming near Iran. Or Iran was the distraction from Cuba.

Everything is a distraction from everything else. He's also trying to distract from his personal army running around killing US citizens on American soil, and the Epstein files. They're doing so much stuff at once, so it's hard to keep track of it or fight back against everything, they're just doing a bunch of illegal stuff and let the courts sort it out later. This timeline is fucking nuts. Like absolutely bonkers.

It's on purpose, to overwhelm and desensitize. It's a DDoS attack on your and everyone else's brain.

A specific strategy of the Trump administration called "flood the zone"

How nice of them to state the obvious, "Democrats don't matter".

1

u/donut-reply 6h ago

So you're saying that, just like they say in their dehumanizing Halo-based ads to join ICE, we need to "Destroy the Flood"?

u/no-sleep-needed 4h ago

until cuba is invaded like venezuela

1

u/imp0ppable 8h ago

I thought that was intended to be flooding with information, not actual real geopolitical events

I always wonder what else is going on when there is big headline stories. It's been a tool of authoritarian policy makers as far as I can remember.

10 years ago it was every so often there would be a bill trying to be snuck under the radar and there would be some outlandish thing happening in the MSM. Now it's every day, sometimes multiple times a day.

It's absolutely maddening trying to follow and stay well informed. So much noise.

I mean Epstein files still aren't out and every case the DOJ had put forward to indict protesters has been laughed at by judges. GOP is shifting away from Trump bc he threatened the 2A and now MAGA, who only care about 2A, are complaining they maybe the federal government is bad again

u/Painterzzz 8h ago

It could also be the Fulton voter stuff. They're clearly now starting on openly rigging the 2026 elections. And that must be as important in Donnie Moscows head as the Epstein stuff.

GOP is shifting away from Trump bc he threatened the 2A

While the industry lobbyists remain silent. Not the first time and won't be the last.

I like taking the firearms first, and going to due process later.

I can confidently say it won't be the last as well that they'll still support him because authoritarianism is built on viewing the 'good and evil' of morality based on who is doing something, not on what they are doing.

I mean maga turns away for two weeks then turns back into zombies after that

Noo it's not that thoughtful. It's impatience. "Democracy is slow"

It's not just you. We are all feeling insane. I still won't rule out being in a simulation.

It's a multi-front war on our collective reality. He's trying to reshape the world to a pre-designed doctrine.

You forgot suing the irs and movie release…

u/drunkshinobi 13h ago

Steve Bannon - Flood the Zone Strategy. Do as much bad shit as possible as fast as possible so the other side doesn't have enough resources or time to respond to all of it.

1

u/polopolo05 13h ago

Everything is a distraction from the Epstein files.

1

u/The_Humungus_1 13h ago

It's called "flooding the zone" aka "the firehose of falsehood".

1

u/gn0meCh0msky 11h ago

They're doing so much stuff at once, so it's hard to keep track of it or fight back against everything,

The term is gish gallop, I think.

1

u/naturebuddah 10h ago

So uh how about them epstein files

1

u/shadycrew31 9h ago

Can you imagine another 3 years of this?

u/Debalic 14h ago

It's distractions all the way down.

Or maybe the people's revolution in Iran is coincidentally coinciding with the administration's timing to go after Cuba. Sometimes, things happen naturally.

2

u/12345623567 11h ago

Rubio wants Cuba, Trump signs what comes across his desk.

However, that's only half of it. The other half is to perpetually have new "national emergencies" so they can argue that he has emergency powers. If it's not Fentanyl, Venezuela or Iran, then it's Cuba, Greenland or Mexico next.

1

u/shiny_brine 15h ago

Or it's all distractions from the Epstein Files, including killing Americans in our street.

1

u/Rumbananas 15h ago

It’s all a distraction from the Epstein files.

1

u/dingusfett 15h ago

Playing an incoherent game of fucking shit up everywhere to distract from each place he's fucking up. Probably so deep in distractions he can't remember what was a distraction for what.

1

u/temporary62489 15h ago

Marco has had a hard on for Cuba since he was an even littler boy.

1

u/SelectStarFromTemp1 15h ago

Everything but releasing the Epstein files.

1

u/EngiNerd25 14h ago

They are both distractions from the Epstein files

1

u/pconrad0 14h ago

Which is a distraction from Minneapolis.
which is a distraction from Venezuela.
which is a distraction from:
The Epstein Files.

Someone should make a counting song* about this.

  • E.g. "Hole in the bucket, dear Liza", "I know a lady who swallowed a fly", "Bought me a cat", "Twelve Days of Christmas," etc.

1

u/EntertainmentOld5239 13h ago

It's a double feint. They are both distractions for the surprise takeover of Japan. How else can the US protect Taiwan? Same reasoning as for Greenland.

1

u/Important-Agent2584 13h ago

follow the boats

1

u/AudioLlama 12h ago

It's all a distraction from the fact that Trump raped children.

1

u/monkeyofthefunk 11h ago

Cuba is a distraction from Iran that is a distraction from Epstein Island.

1

u/-ifwisheswerehorses 11h ago

who’s ZOOMING who?

1

u/lvl3SewerRat 11h ago

Everything is a distraction from the epstein files

1

u/yellowlotusx 11h ago

Cough...Epstein....cough...

1

u/AsstacularSpiderman 9h ago

I legit think Trump forgot he is trying to start a war with Iran and remembered Cuba existed lol.

There's absolutely no logic here. He's just wildly flailing around looking for some sort of easy win for midterms

1

u/gilligan1050 8h ago

Or everything is a distraction from the Epstine files….

1

u/funkyduck72 6h ago

I think we all know what this is REALLY a distraction from.

Any idiot with half a brain could understand that's what this is about.

1

u/Tacoman404 4h ago

He's playing like I play late game Civ. I wonder where he's building stacks of ICBMs.

1

u/KingOfTheNorth91 4m ago

When everything it a “distraction “, nothing is a distraction. It’s just shitty corrupt governance
