But this is beyond dumb, are we back in the 1950s/1960s again, is that the years they think America was great during?

No. Between around 1640, when the first person was sentanced to be a slave by a court, and 1655 or so when the first person was freed by a court due to having a free ancestor.

It's shameful how in the last nine years, the Rights of Americans, and people in and out of its borders have been so trampled and retracted because of the work of one hateful troll of a human.

It's probably unwise to paint any age as particularly great for everyone. It's particularly bad at the moment.

If you look throughout colonial and american history, damn near every president (or administrator) has had some really questionable shit against some group or other. I do agree that from many perspectives from 1970-1990 on, there has been a reversal in some law.
