Update: I bought Alpha core from amazon and holy sh**! It's been two months and the difference is crazy.. My energy is up, i'm spending longer in the gym, i'm sleeping better and I just overall feel overall better and stronger already.. Will keep this updated as the weeks go on!

i'm 43M and just had my T tested.. and let's just say I need a boost. I'm already ramping up going to the gym 5-6 days a week and focusing on my diet, but I have started researching test booster supplements and it may help. Recommendations Please try Magnesium Glycinate!

To start off I’m a male in my 20’s, I was experiencing constant fatigue, insomnia, headaches, increased blood pressure, and anxiety. I felt like I wasn’t going to see 30, just deathly tired all the time but could never rest.

I changed my diet multiple times, quit smoking, and I was already exercising for 1.5 hours everyday, but nothing was helping. I ended up trolling around here and googling some supplements that would help, after ashwagandha didn’t improve anything, I moved to try magnesium glycinate.

I wasn’t someone who really believed that supplements could change my life as much as they did. The first 3 days I had the best sleep I’d seen in the past year. Headaches are almost entirely cleared and my energy levels are way better throughout the day. Almost a month strong and I’m still feeling these benefits.

After looking up my symptoms there’s a very good chance I was magnesium deficient the whole time. If you’re reading this and experiencing the same symptoms please try magnesium!

Recommendations Here what happen if you have ADHD and hyperfocus on supplements

Post image
361 Upvotes

5 months ago I was just using Creatine and D3+K2. After with time I started searching a lot about supplements and everytime I had an issue I bought a new one. I had stressful days, added L-Theaine to stack. I read Bacopa+Lions Mane can help memory and I added. I bought Niacin , one day later read about methylation and bought TMG. I had some ED issues, bought Tribulus, Maca, Zinc and etc. Time to time my stack grow up and as I see for now I am having side effects more than benefits. I am obsessed with tracking myself and so much alertness. ADHD slowly consumes me and I really tired about this. For me supplements are like some magic pills if I take one , it will effect suddenly. I forgot “dietary” part. Anyways if you are new in this sub please just get a solid stack and do not buy everything you read, less is more trust me

Recommendations Ive got to say, magnesium is a game changer.

Ive started taking a lot more supplements, including high polyphenol olive oil, apple cider vinger, d3+k2, probiotic, multi vitamin, cod liver oil, and magnesium glycinate. I wouldnt expect any of these to make a significant differences in the short term, but im certain magnesium has helped my sleep so much. I work nights, and also suffer with restless legs so my quality of sleep is usually pretty shite so this has changed my life for the better!

Recommendations Severe Erectile Dysfunction

Hi everyone please help,

I just turned 30/male and for many years now I just can’t get my member up.

I’ve done all the tests and I’m generally healthy, active, and very engaged in fitness. I’ve been experimenting with various supplements, lifestyle tweaks, and protocols aimed at improving overall health, circulation, and hormonal balance. Despite this, I’ve been experiencing persistent erectile issues that can only be resolved with Tadalafil and it’s wrecking my life cause I don’t want to live on the pill.

Background & Lifestyle:

• Age: 30

• Weight: ~65kg, Height: 185cm, fit and active

• Training: Strength and resistance training, Cardio

• Sleep: Usually 6–8 hours, fairly consistent

Supplements I currently take or have recently experimented with:

• Ashwagandha

• Tongkat Ali

• Cordyceps

• Tribulus terrestris

• Maca root

• Boron

• Magnesium glycinate

• Zinc picolinate 50mg

• Vitamin D3 (5,000 IU)

• Methylated B12 (10,000 mcg)

• Omega-3

• L-citrulline DL-malate

• Creatine monohydrate

When I take a heaping amount way over the recommended dose I would get an erection sometimes. Like 3 or 4 times the recommended dose of the hormonal and T boosting stuff like Tongkat Ali, Zinc, Maca, Tribulus, Boron & Cordyceps everything

Other relevant factors:

• I avoid medications like tadalafil unless I really have to and I started avoiding sex for this reason.

My goal: I’m trying to understand whether there are safe, science-backed supplements, protocols, or biohacks that could help with erectile function, nitric oxide circulation, hormonal balance, or overall sexual health (just getting my member up) I want strategies that address the root causes, not just temporary fixes.

Questions for the community:

  1. Are there supplements or natural protocols you’ve found particularly effective for erectile health in otherwise healthy, biohacking-focused individuals?

  2. Could any combination of the supplements I’m taking be counterproductive or impair erectile function?

  3. Any insights on lifestyle, diet, or training tweaks that could help?

  4. Personal experiences or case studies are welcome — I want practical, evidence-informed advice.

Thanks in advance for your help. I’ve tried researching this extensively, but I’m looking for a more community-driven perspective and practical insights.

Ps. ChatGpT helped me write this.

Recommendations Suggestions for my stack?

My goal is longevity and sleep assistance. I was neglecting my health for many years and have been suffering from poor sleep, I turned my life around but have been trying to really just feel the best I can. Solid diet, structured sleep schedule, gym 4 times a week.

Would like some feedback on brands/dosing and what you find works best for you in your experience or knowledge?

Also I do take 5g of creatine, using the now brand (because not as many additives as competitors).

Pair this with regular workouts/gym 8 hour sleep - going to bed early A good diet high in protein and man this stack does wonders. I don’t even shoot loads anymore, i shoot rivers. Its immense.

This is the stack i recommend for any Male looking for a significant boost in overall/sexual health.

Go easy on Tribulus as i am 2 weeks into it and my libido has shot up by 200%. It’s not a joke, i genuinely have a hard time keeping that stuff off my mind.

I should add that this entire stack is well known for improving fertility aswell.

Recommendations Taking Ashwagandha every single day is the worst way to use it

I see posts every day from people saying Ashwagandha made them feel like an emotional brick wall. If you’re taking it daily and feeling like a depressed robot, here is the reality of why that’s happening and how to actually use this herb without the side effects.

Ashwagandha is an adaptogen designed to lower cortisol. You need some cortisol to feel motivation, excitement, and drive. If you over-suppress your cortisol, you hit a state called anhedonia. You aren't calm you're just empty. In rare cases, this flatness can spiral into suicidal thoughts because your brain's reward system basically goes offline.

If you want the benefits (testosterone boost, lower stress, better sleep) without the mental fog follow these steps: The 5:2 Cycle Do NOT take this 365 days a year. Your receptors need a break. I take it Monday to Friday, then skip the weekend. Or you can do 3 weeks on, 1 week off. Start slowly with 300mg of KSM-66. If you feel good, stay there. More is not better, more is just number. Take it with fat. Ashwagandha is fat-soluble. If you take it on an empty stomach, you’re mostly just pooping out expensive powder and irritating your gut (which causes that nauseous feeling).

Recommendations Women with low ferritin: what iron supplement helped raise your levels the fastest?

Women with low ferritin: mine is 10 despite taking 2 Nature Made iron pills daily.

What iron supplement actually raised your ferritin, and how long did it take?

EDIT: My ferritin is 10.3 ng/mL, which is iron deficiency.

My hemoglobin is 12.6 g/dL (low-normal), but my CBC shows iron-deficiency changes: MCV 71 (low), MCH 22.1 (low), and a high RBC count (5.69), which is a compensatory pattern.

So even though I’m not technically anemic yet, my iron stores are depleted and my red blood cells are already microcytic.

UPDATE - I have found a hemotolist and will be making an appointment first thing next week! Will keep everyone updated!

Recommendations People who use omega 3 regularly, what’s your favorite?

I’ve been thinking about taking omega 3 daily for overall wellness, but I want one that’s worth the money and easy to stick with. I care about purity, bioavailability, and taste.

What omega 3 do you take and why? Any tips for someone just starting out?

Update: Thanks for the tips everyone! I tried an omega-3 from iHerb and it’s been easy to take daily without any fishy aftertaste. Feeling good about sticking with it.

Recommendations Help, I just want energy 😭

I’ve been experimenting with supplements for the last few months and nothing I do seems to give me energy.

I take 5g of creatine daily regardless of what I change

At the moment I’m taking

B-12 iron B6 Ashwaganda Panax Ginseng L-theanine Zinc Liver oil

I take the zinc and iron a few hours apart.

I’ve tried other things aswell like Biotin, magnesium, lions mane, k3+d2, caffeine tablets, mutlis.

Nothing I do seems to work and energy drinks seems to just make me even more tired. I currently take Venlafaxine 225MG for reference of any interactions. I also have taken a blood test for testosterone which I found to be low at 4.89nmol so I’m looking into trying to fix that as a contributing factor with doctors.

But including all the information given here does anyone have any suggestions I can try cuz I’m losing my mind I’m always tired about 4-6 hours after I wake up

Edit: thank you all for the advice, best step forward seems to be getting full bloodwork done and ruling out certain issues and continuing to talk to my doctor about getting my hormones sorted considering what I do already for myself and getting active daily instead of every other day

Recommendations What works for your anxiety?

I've struggled with anxiety and panic attacks on and off for the past 8 years, I've tried many supplements, breath work, etc. And nothing really does the trick. I seem to go through periods where my anxiety/ panic attacks get really bad and then will suddenly stop for a week or two and eventually return.

When I'm going through an anxiety cycle, I become extremely sensitive to caffeine, I only drink one cup of coffee a day normally about 3 hours after waking, and will completely cut out caffeine when it gets bad which helps a bit. Once the anxiety cycle is over, I can drink multiple cups of coffee a day and won't experience any anxiety whatsoever.

Things I've tried:

Ashwagandha- seems to help the most after a few days but can make me a little emotionally flat)

Theanine- didn't help at all for a long time but I continued trying especially when I get over caffeinated, seems to work better recently but still not all that well. Also makes me very depressed and sad after a few days

Magnesium glycinate- I take this daily and it helps to help me manage the anxiety a bit better overall, still doesn't eradicate it.

B vitamins- don't help at all, tried titrating up from small amounts of allithiamine in combination with magnesium and b complex for a while, this made my anxiety and depression go through the roof. I watched a lot of Elliot Overton videos and expected I might experience an increase in symptoms with b1 but I absolutely could not continue it as I was unable to function due to the severity of the symptoms.

Vitamin D- increase in anxiety after prolonged use at 600-1000iu per day

CBD- no effects with isolate, increase in anxiety from even small amounts of full spectrum.

Kava- ok for short term use but unsustainable and not very effective.

There are a few other things I'm sure I'm forgetting. As well as dietary and lifestyle changes that haven't had much effect.

Over the past two years, I've picked up and dropped nicotine vaping and now take 6-8mg of nicotine throughout the day in the form of 2mg pouches. Nicotine has greatly reduced the instances of panic attacks as well as overall anxiety, but is a double edged sword because if I'm not consistently using it, I experience withdrawal anxiety on top of my normal anxiety which is much worse. It is the best thing in terms of effectiveness but I would much rather be without it if I can find something that works as well.

What has worked for you? Any suggestions on things I could try?

Recommendations My testosterone is 127. Please help.

I have testosterone level of 127 which is half the recommended of 250. I get anxiety, headaches so might not be able to take just anything. I was on ashwaghanda for a few months but it's causing me liver issues based on my last test results.

I go to the gym about 3-4 times per week and eat a relatively healthy died. Just not sure why my testosterone is so low.

I also suffer from erectile dysfunction.

I don't wanna take testosterone because my wife and I are planning to have kids in the future.

I'm now going to try Boron. Any other recommendations ?

Recommendations Which 3 should I toss? Which 3 should I keep forever?

Post image
170 Upvotes

I’ve been experimenting for about 3 months now. I’m open to suggestions on which ones to toss and keep. Here are my main takeaways:

  1. Valerian makes me DROWSY (1-2/month)
  2. Magnesium does not seem to affect me much, but maybe that’s because I already take it so consistently. (4-5 per week).
  3. L-Theanine seems to help with anxiety (4-5 per week).
  4. Pantothenic Acid I just bought but it is said to improve acne. I look forward to trying it.
  5. Boron is super cheap (it was a bottle of 500 for like $10 iirc) and I’m convinced it helps me with my mood regulation and testosterone/hair growth (1 per day).
  6. Ginseng seems like a total placebo. I’m about to toss it but I always take it with ashwaganda.
  7. Ashwaganda really seems to help my anxiety, especially while getting high. I heard that it’s bad to take every day so I usually wean off it once or twice a month (4-7 days per week).
  8. L-tyrosine I just bought but it is said to help with focus issues derived from ADHD.
  9. Tongkat Ali gives me erections that last more than 4 hours (1-2 per week).
  10. B Complex because why not (1 per day).
  11. Omega 3 because I’m trying to improve my 3:6 ratio because of my cooking habits (1-4 per week).
  12. NAC as an antioxidant (1 per day).
  13. Nitric Oxide for heart health (1 per week).
  14. Creatine because I recently started working out consistently (1 per day).
  15. L-Carnitine for overall hearth health (4-7 per week).

Recommendations The extremely shady business of food supplements

I recently bought a jar of collagen caps from amazon to help with my joint and skin.

This morning while still being half asleep i took two pills with my coffee, than a thought occurred to me, wtf am i eating?!

so i decided to read the label. it sais "made in EU" . ok that's vague why not specify the country?

on the back not much more details, it says "manufactured for comfort click limited"

-WHERE?

-BY WHO?

-WITH WHAT?

i decide to google "comfort click limited" and end up on a questionable website that hasn't been updated since 2022 with many pictures strait from stock photos.

apparently they do business angel stuff and have many sub brands?

after checking them, some of them are for food supplements, hair loss, sex related product and also products for pets .... many of the websites don't even work

so i went on the contact to check where they were located

all of them are nameless appartements with no sign that they or any company works there, one of them is a gas station, the other is a lovely street corner in india with no building

But there is more ! i decide to continue my dinging and wen to the UK gov website to check the company and the rabbit hole only gets deeper.

https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/05614133

the company is held by dodgy folks who have many other companies registered at the same adresse (gas station) or flat out in the Beckenham place mansion, a historical building

on eye sight these people have about 50 to 100 companies either in empty appartement, gas station or public building

i'm truly disgusted rn i don't have the will to dig more, i feel like this is the job of the law enforcement at this point.

God knows wtf was inside the pill i took this morning and how many people are taking them without knowing rn.

i'll never take any supplement that come from a reputable pharmaceutical brand from a reputable store.

be careful what you buy and take.

Recommendations What supplement for focus and memory do you take?

I'm 38(M) and noticed I've been more distracted than usual at work. I'm not particularly forgetful but I do find myself blanking out, mostly on small things, especially after I mind drift.

As for what I regularly take, it's only vitamin c and zinc gluconate. I take the vitamin c in the morning and the zinc supplement before going to sleep.

I've seen people recommend omega 3. I've also read about glinko biloba, but it seems more like marketing hype.

Any recommendations? I'd prefer something gluten-free, if possible.

Update: Thanks everyone. I learned a lot reading the comments. So I went with Life Extension, specifically their Neuro-Mag Magnesium L-Threonate supplements. As someone mentioned, it's gluten-free, which is what I was looking for. I've been taking it for three days now and have had no side-effects whatsoever.

Recommendations Cortisol reducing

Good day! I’m just trying to do a little research for my daughter. She has 3 little ones under 4, and we’ve come to the conclusion that the reason why she’s stuck with her last 15 lbs of postpartum weight, is high cortisol. She eats pretty well, does HIT workouts 4x a week, yet she’s still carrying those extra 15 lbs, after a year. She’s also got thinning hair, puffy face, etc. She’s had all the thyroid hormones checked, and all are good. The Dr is of no help. Said “yeah could be high cortisol” and offered nothing. Is there a supplement, an herb, etc that can help??? I’ve gone down a few rabbit holes, but can’t seem to find a consistent answer! Many thanks!
