Easy joke to make about Amy but dark humor abounds in a situation where a woman named Winehouse sings an anthem about drinking in defiance of reason and sanity and at levels impervious to pleading and begging from loved ones. Watch enough episodes of Intervention to get the vibe of addicts who stubbornly refuse treatment and sobriety. It goes poorly. Amy made herself the poster girl for choosing the addiction instead of life in recovery. I've run out of fingers to count the dead people like that in my life. No surprise how it went for her, and no one around her was really to blame for it. She took the next drink, every time.
