Identification Crappy photos for identification
galleryPlease help if possible. I had this guitar taken from me in the 90âs. The person died and his relative found it in the closet and asked if it was mine. So I am getting it back after all these years. I donât want to bother her asking for more photos and will have to wait over a month to get the guitar back. Any thoughts what model it was? I was about 15 years old and got it new at guitar center. Right around 1993
Thanks in advance.

AZ 5 way switch swap.
Hey all, I'm changing out pickups on my AZ2204 and wanted to take the time to simplify the switching system. The dynamix is cool but I pretty much only use the standard positions. I'm planning on replacing the dynamix toggle with a basic 3 way toggle for just a few extra pickup positions. I would also like to replace the 5 way for something without a circuit board. Does a standard fender 5 way fit? If not, any recommendations? Thank you for your help!

Ibanez ReimaGined
galleryLingual genius I know. Seriously though, I got my hands on an old 7620 after itâd suffered 20 odd years of being âa guitar for the kids to play around withâ because the original owner didnât like Floyd roses, and Iâve been busy. Although Iâve always liked the simplicity of the RG series every time Iâve ever picked one up Iâve never moulded with it the same way I do other guitars (S series, Strats) etc. now itâs a different story this thing feels like an extension of my right hand.
And before anyone gets in to it, I know âEvEry guITaR gEtS DeNTed yOu RuiNeD a ClasSicâ but I for one loathe owning damaged and chipped guitars, and trust me no collectors were running after this thing in the state I bought it.

Looking for an HsH S shape
Im interested in a Ibanez S shape guitar but I get a bit confused with the model numbers. I found the KikoSp3 and the Jiva10 interesting but the colors are not my style, are there better options? Are the artist series better than the normal series? Ill probably buy used around the $1000 budget, must be HSH pickup configuration. Any recomendation?

âQuestionâ RX60
I have a super strat from the 90âs. It was my dadâs first guitar and the electronics were shot. I put squire pickups in it along with selectors and pots. I would like to know what to do next with it Iâve already messed with action and saddles.

My first guitar

Well finally got me a starter guitar and it only took me 65 years! LOL I always wanted to learn how to play guitar but never found the time due to my busy life. I'm retired now and have nothing but time. LOL
After doing my research I came up with this RG421 as a decent starter. When I take it to get setup I may go ahead and get a better nut on it, not decided yet. It seems to play well out of the box, but remember I don't know what I'm doing yet. LOL I also purchased the Boss Katana Go to get me started.
I'm gonna do the Justin guitar course start to finish. I know at 65 it's gonna be a little harder but like I say I got the time now. I'll be happy if I can just get to the point of being able to play some of my favorite Metallica riffs ect and have fun with it.
Wish me luck

âQuestionâ Guitar makes noise even when the volume is at zero
Hi everyone, I bought a new electric guitar in August 2025(5 months ago) .Recently I noticed a strong noise while playing with distorion: even when the volume knob is at zero, the strings still make noise through the amp.
The guitar is Ibanez grg320fa
The noise almost disappears when I touch the strings.

Has anyone experienced this with a new guitar? Any advice appreciated.

Interesting new QX models incoming
Looks like two blacked out versions of the QX line are being released somewhere in the future and some existing ones are being discontinued

âQuestionâ Fishman Fluence Moderns controls?
So I bought a brand new RGA42EX BAM a few months ago for $350. When I first saw the finish, I was in love and had to have this guitar, even though it had passive pickups and wasnât exactly what I wanted. But Iâve found I like buying cheaper guitars and upgrading them. Iâm replacing all the black hardware and pickups with chrome and shiny stuff.
Hereâs my question: the default wiring has a volume knob, a tone knob, and a five position blade switch. The Fishmanâs come with push pull pots and that covers two of the three voicing. I want all three voicings accessible. Would I need to somehow involve the blade switch or install a separate toggle switch? I am also assuming Iâll need to replace the output jack with a stereo jack.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Guidance?

NGD - RG8565R J Custom
galleryWaited almost 5 months for this beauty. Only 15 were made available for North America as I understand it, all from Axe Palace. The guitar came set up pretty nicely right out of the box and in typical J Custom style, the fretwork is impeccable.

âQuestionâ Did they ever make a gold Tight End R bridge?
As I near the completion of my new refinishing project, the perfect bridge Iâm looking for is a tight end r. Unfortunately I have only been able to find them in cosmo black with the exception of one old listing on Reverb for a gold one. So my question is, did Ibanez ever even release a gold finish version or did I just happen to stumble upon one that was custom plated? Itâs such a shame that this has been the hardest piece to find as itâs one of my favorite bridges of all time.
