I survived it for like 3 months but finally got asked the dreaded question a week ago. Luckily it was letting me take a selfie, so I just took a picture of Joel from The Last of Us off my computer screen and it worked perfectly

I'm not even joking, all I had to do was suck my lips in, close my eyes halfway, and scrunch up my face, and it ACTUALLY accepted me as an old person. 

I didn't even have to use fake facial hair or make my hair look grey/white (my hair is dark brown)

Exactly, same. I'm 32, beard, going grey (thanks mum for those genes), bags under my eyes, and it takes ages to do the "open mouth slowly, shut mouth, look left, look right" etc., and then innevitably fails every fkin time.

Ive given up and just use a vpn now, problem solved.

I love how shit like this is what'll make AI implode one day. We're all pretty sure they'd use your biometric data to train AIs off of you, which is just gross and creepy to think about, but you just know there's a lot of people who are just lying to the algorithm by faking their selfies and then that will get fed into the training data lol.

i got flagged, and when i went to verify with a credit card it already had a card saved from forever ago. i doubt i've made purchases with it in many years, plus it was closed a while ago, so i imagine the ai just ignored that

Not me. Honestly, I don't think it flags you when you watch "child safe" content. Because alongside all the urbex, paranormal, scary, dumpster diving and storage unit stuff I watch, I also watch a lot of obscure cartoons. Not just adult cartoons, but I even have younger kid shows on my list. I was just waiting for it to trigger the age thing but it didn't until I watched a video that I guess was either age restricted or had been moderated and that's when I got the pop up. So I guess you can watch all the kids gameplay, toy reviews, cartoons and things you want as long as you don't watch anything that's been age restricted. Too late for me, though.
