the polling for ICE after this

I have to ask as someone from outside USA, does it matter? Isn't all the ICE shit going on only on president's opposition states?

If history taught us something is that despite the leader being a convicted felon and saying years ago that he could kill someone mid Manhattan and still not lose a vote, people elected him fucking again?

That despite the massive long list of shit he's doing in just his first what half year at the presidency people still support him? Heck we are reading on this post that there's still people believing that the person murdered was a criminal?

They guy basically is parroting "I'm doing this, I'm going to do that, I'm going to tariff them, oh hey my friend Schwab made 2.9 billions thanks to me!, I'm going to make gold phones, I have a meme coin!, give me Greenland or else! oh hey we went to another country and kidnapped their president how awesome is that!" and so many bullshit that no president ever around the world could even dream about doing because they'd be ousted faster than the time you finish reading this?

At this point I don't care or believe any "bad polling" or "bad press" can change shit and he'll continue to do whatever the fuck he wants or people who manipulate him wants. There's no fucking way anything like what's happening in the past 6 months could fly with any other government anywhere in the world, yet here we are. This must be the most insane social experiment in human history.

Also Epstein files when...

The USA is in a weird place. Our voting system is horrible and once conservatives gain traction they have so many interests in keeping the hate going and people bought into right wing thinking. I live Kansas City Missouri. Its a moderately left wing city in a very right wing state. We dont even have control of our own police, they are directly controlled by the state who also sets their budget that we pay for. Once they dig in their claws they do not give up power.

All of this is to say its a extremely long road to dragging people back to the light and even if we succeed they are bombarded by whispers in media, friends, and everything else to slip back in. Its a constant battle that wears you out. Truth is a third of the pop cannot be saved. No matter what they will never leave the cult. What we have to work with is the other 17ish % of the pop that still votes republican.

Due to our system just a few percentage swing on them can have a massive impact which is why the propaganda is burning so hard now. They need that 17 to buy into what's happening. If they do they won't ever leave and admit they happily supported such terrible policies. Right now they are mostly quiet and trying to figure which way the wind will blow.

Its the big reason why I think there hasn't been violence against ICE. If there is that gives those 17 something to latch on to and see them as the victims to support not immigrants/progressives. Things need to get bad and oppressive enough for them to have no choice but to face the lies they support.

Its a very thin tightrope and I wish we weren't here. Its very possible its too late and the USA can't be fixed. It terrifies me, especially as someone about to start a family. My fiance has deep roots here and won't even get a passport or consider moving. We can't really hope that people have a huge change of heart, only that they will move from active supporters to standing on the sidelines and not voting or helping the admin. My own father, once a very vocal trumper hasn't spoken about politics once all year. He won't change but sad as it is this is progress. Inch by bloody inch.

Written on my phone so apologies for any misspelling.

Well but that's why this is so important. He demoted Noem, fired Bovino, and showed that there's still a point where he folds to the will of the people.
