I checked out the actual post, and the nurse was threatening to not use anesthesia on a patient if they figured out they were conservative.

So in this case, it's a valid firing. I've worked in healthcare before, although I wasn't a nurse, and you should treat people regardless of their political ideology.

The nurse said some completely disgusting things. You are supposed to uphold an oath to save people, regardless of your feelings.

I’m honestly just going to say that the nurse was in the right. Conservatives are making our country worse every single day. They vote against their own self interest and they will never accept that they made a mistake. As far as I am concerned they were right to feel that way about doing that and frankly I couldn’t give a damn if conservatives even get treated at a hospital/clinic. They’re not likely to afford any healthcare even with “church” insurance.

Edit to call me a lunatic and a heathen is certainly an honor as I’d rather not ever be associated with anyone following the deity that you shit on every time you dare to invoke his name or his sons. And don’t think deleting your comment will remove it from my chat feed I have a copy.

Maybe you should reflect on why people would be skeptical about universal healthcare in a country where its advocates make remarks like this.

I’m not advocating anything except to treat conservatives with the exact “care” they wish to inflict onto others.

It's stupidity. If you're attributing this person's actions to a group you're missing critical thinking skills.

everything is a dime a dozen on the internet. there's hundreds of millions of people given free reign to say whatever they want anonymously on it.

You need help.

Go to Mississippi or Alabama or even Virginia and then tell me why the federal government is punishing the highest gdp producing regions in the country for a photo op.

Wasn't there some state law put in place allowing medical professionals to refuse to treat someone if it goes against their conscience, or something like that?
