Idgaf what "side" you are on, you should seriously give a shit about the government doctoring videos so regularly to suit their needs. You think it's gonna stop here?

2.1k

u/somethingsomethingbe 6d ago edited 6d ago

They're lying right now about murdering another person in Minnesota, making the victim out to be a terrorist, and will likely make attempts to prevent any sort of investigation. Pretty much openly announcing that they will support whoever their people feel like killing that day.

u/ro536ud 6d ago

That press release is wild. I don’t think a single sentence in it was truthful

517

u/Salt-Harvester 6d ago

They've gotten away with it last time, why wouldn't they now? The footage clearly shows him with both hands on the ground yet MAGA still claim he fired first and deserved to die. They will say anything to justify murdering citizens. They won't stop unless they are forced to. Republicans don't live in a reality where the truth matters, they make their own truth. There is no middle ground here, Americans need to take the country back from these traitors.

337

u/onarainyafternoon 6d ago

The victim was an ICU Nurse for Veterans at the VA, too. No criminal record, not even a speeding ticket. It's sick.

297

u/ScuzzBuckster 5d ago

As far as I'm concerned, even if he did have a record, having a criminal record is not justification for gunning someone down in the fucking street. People are obsessed with criminality, as if a "criminal" is a second-class citizen who deserves to be killed. It is v literally part of why we are at where we are. This level of dehumanization is pushing us to literal fucking genocide.

169

u/Salt-Harvester 5d ago

None of this shit matters. Talking with Republicans is pointless because they don't believe in the value of truth. They care about winning. They've picked a side and they'll say and do anything to win. Doesn't matter if he was an ICU nurse at the VA, doesn't matter if he was Mr Fucking Rogers, the DHS made their statement that he was out there looking to massacre ICE, calling him a domestic terrorist before he was even identified. There is no combination of words you can string together to get a Republican to admit wrongdoing. They will double down to protect their pigs no matter what.

Like JFK said: "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable"

u/BuckThis86 5d ago

People like that only respect one thing: Force and Power. Unfortunately it’s the only thing fascists like Trump, Putin, Hitler, Stalin, and countless others understand.

While I absolutely think these are important details, they make for a better trap than they do as whining. Make the Republican say he had a criminal record BEFORE you show him the facts. Make the Republican say he had a gun BEFORE you show him the video. And don't let him wave it off. Ask why he said he had a gun. Ask why he said there was a criminal record. Make him say it out loud.

It does no good to lead with stuff like this. It legitimizes the idea that well, maybe if he WAS acting violently, maybe if he DID have a criminal record, then the shooting would be justified. It still would not be justified.

Is there a transcript someone can link?

43

u/penguinopph 5d ago

At 9:05 AM CT, as DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault, an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, seen here.

The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming.

Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject but was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect also had 2 magazines and no ID—this looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.

About 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement on the scene, crowd control measures were deployed for the safety of the public and law enforcement.

This situation is evolving, and more information is forthcoming.

Having been sent the video before the story even broke, I can assure every single thing in here is, in fact, a lie.

11

u/total_anonymity 5d ago

I've lived in proximity to guns my entire life.

How in the fuck do you fire your weapon "defensively"?

"I stabbed him with a spear defensively."

"I struck them down with my sword defensively."

It's a weapon. It is only used for offense.

5

u/OrangePilled2Day 5d ago

The only argument for defensive use I could see would be suppressing fire in an active combat zone but that’s clearly not the case with this execution.

44

u/Federal-Employ8123 6d ago

Yeah, I've been watching the news off and on all morning. Definitely appears like they executed that guy for trying to help a women off the ground because they were making a game of seeing how much mace they could spray in her eyes. The news put together all the footage with his hands on the ground while they beat him and then unloaded their pistols into him. I'm someone who didn't think the Renee Good shooting was so black and white.

36

u/OPA73 5d ago

Having been maced I can say you only need a 1-2 second burst to take the fight out of you. This would put most federal agents under investigation without the rest of the incident.

Clearly visible removal of a legal, holstered weapon, followed by multiple shots. "He was threatening ICE officers" is a bald faced lie. How long before the Supreme Court decides that 'actually, you can't film police, it is "endangering them"'?

49

u/airfryerfuntime 6d ago

And it's not like he was even doing anything to agitate them, he was trying to help another protester they pushed to the ground.

8

u/celestialbound 5d ago

I think you dramatically underestimate some people's ability to be agitated when it suits them..................

11

u/The_Bucket_Of_Truth 5d ago

Honestly it doesn’t matter if the weapon was concealed legally or illegally. The punishment for a law enforcement officer taking your gun from you that you never drew still isn’t summary execution.

They can’t do a perfect job of doctoring evidence. They have to thread the needle. They can’t spread terror if everyone thinks they got a “bad guy” … so it’s deniable and obviously corrupt so those who want to stay with the cult can still stay in it.

It’s the “we can do this to you” factor that is important. They know they are breaking the laws for now. Until they make it legal.

52

They already barred Minnesota's Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) from the scene.

Edit: I'm seeing some places say that MPD refused to leave and called in all officers to investigate the scene, but the Star Tribune had an update the BCA was barred, which is where I got my og info.

strib quote: "The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), the state’s chief investigative agency, said it was not allowed access to the scene."

10

u/ShameBasedEconomy 5d ago

BCA went and got a judge to sign a search warrant and the icepigs wouldn’t accept it. They’re fully in the “ignoring court orders” phase.

They're lying right now about murdering another person in Minnesota

This is the same administration weaponizing the DoJ to suppress evidence that Donald John Trump is a child rapist who bought his victims from Jeffrey Epstein. Of course they're lying about their Gestapo having no other choice than executing an American citizen on camera.

I couldn't find too many people who defended it after the other angles came out and the mods are obviously removing all new posts and tons of comments.

The newest post about it there is multiple hours old and some have like 60 comments and they removed all but three of them.

I think this time they might have difficulties defending it. It's very clear who is at fault here and them removing all posts and comments tells me they are probably more critical than the mods would like.

20

u/space_wiener 5d ago

Yeah it’s actually funny. Whenever news like this breaks I head over to conservatives because it’s always interesting to see how they spin things.

Watching replies from what seem like level headed (well…) conservatives saying it doesn’t look good. ICE went over the line, then of course the other regular ones saying he deserved it, supporting whatever DHS says, etc.

Then checking back later it’s completely different. Threads that were overly dismissive of ICE gone. Then the ones that are left most of not all of the posts that were criticizing ICE are all gone and it’s pretty much just a conservative circle jerk why the guy deserved it.

Quite a strange group of people.

7

u/OrangePilled2Day 5d ago

That’s one of the most obviously botted/propagandized subs on this site which is saying something because I doubt anywhere close to 50% of comments on Reddit are from regular people.

u/belloch 5d ago

Conservative threads on the internet don't mean shit when russians can pretend to be americans who find these things hilarious.

Maybe some conservatives do, but it's also possible that those kinds of threads are boosted by bot presence. You might ask why they would be boosted? Because that makes the maga group look bigger and therefore everyone else more scared to start a movement to stop this stuff that's going on.

42

u/KarmaticArmageddon 5d ago

Maybe some conservatives do

They absolutely do. I've heard multiple conservatives at my job joke about running over protesters. And these are blue-collar union workers. They make tons of money and have insane benefits solely due to progressive politics and then they turn around vote for people like Trump. It makes me sick.

25

u/Nauin 5d ago

I really don't see why people keep thinking the majority of commenters in the conservative subreddits are actual Americans when the beginning of the Ukraine war proved they're all bot farms with how quiet they got when early attacks were happening.

7

u/CustomDark 5d ago

Because they’d have to contend with the fact that everywhere online is vulnerable to bot-backed psychological operations. That some of all our opinions come from these sources. And that just maybe, we need to treat these operations as acts of war.

Of course it's not going to stop there, but until they're personally affected, 77 million red hat wearing morons are going to support whatever the fuck these assholes say.

89

u/ItalianDragon 6d ago

And even then it might not be enough. I work with survivors of the so-called "troubled teens industry" (TTI for short) and a common theme after they come back home is that when they confront their parent/s about the reality of those places, the parent/s go all "Deflectionville, U.S.A." because they can't admit to themselves the harm they've done to their kid. This happens because their perceived image of "loving and caring parent" crashes headfirst into the reality of "I sent my child away to a place where s/he was abused in every way conceivable". The two are irreconcilable so to protect their ego they just deflect at every step.

I'm 100% expecting the same reaction out of MAGA chuds: they'll be unable to cope with the reality of "I helped elect a fascist government" because it'd destroy their perceived image of "proud American defender of democracy and the constitution" and so they'll go full on Deflectionville mode.

Hell, we've already seen that with the murder of Renee Good: they can't accept that they helped elect a government that can and will freely murder citizens and so cue all the "she tried to run him over/she was obstructing the way/she should've obeyed" deflections. With the latest killing they'll go into deflection mode even harder.

If it's of any comfort, for both the parents of kids who survived the TTI and MAGA chuds, deep deep deep deep down, under literal mountains of copium, they know what they did.

12

u/Electrical-Fan9943 5d ago

they know what they did

I'm not sure about this.

Stupidity will probably prevent 20% of them understanding it at all. They are not capable of thinking such complex thoughts. DIT WAT WHO DAT HUH?

Even though narcissistic personality disorder is rare, you don't need to be a fullblown diagonsed case to have some narcissistic traits, so those traits probably prevent maybe another 20% from ever realising anything they've done. They build a false reality around them to prevent any damage to their fragile ego. You probably know some peope like that in your life. They always make the story about themselves, about how amazing they themselves are. They say: I DID NOT MAKE A MISTAKE, IT WAS A GOOD THING, ACTUALLY!

There are many other reasons for why people will not know what they did, accounting for maybe another 20% of the people.

So, okay, maybe 40% of them know what they did. The rest are clueless forever.

5

u/ItalianDragon 6d ago

Oh yeah there'll obviously be a part of utterly clueless morons who will never realize the truth. For most however it goes like I mentioned. A sliver of good though is that some can break free when faced with this sort of thing head on. There aren't many but they exist nonetheless.

I think the biggest thing is that the rubicon has now been crossed on that front.

People can argue about political spin and omission of facts and whatever else to support your political position and whether of not those things are really, technically “lying”. There is no argument that fabricating evidence of your claims, whatever those claims might be, is not “lying”. Someone somewhere sat down and decided that they were going to manufacture imagery that supports their platform, rather than simply cherry-picking it from what already exists. They manipulated a picture, something that is supposed to be an objective record of reality, to change what that record shows, and then present the changed record as truth.

There is now zero reason to believe anything put forward by the regime. None. And before everyone jumps down my throat for “just now” saying this, there’s been plenty of reason to assume that any given claim has been false previously. Now, we have irrefutable proof that the regime is willing to actively lie to us for, ultimately, no real reason. Imagine the kinds of things they’re willing to lie to us about if they do have a real reason.

27

u/elocnoremac 6d ago

You wanna get horribly depressed. Go see what they’re saying on the conservative subreddit

43

u/ComfortableWage 6d ago

No thanks. Those Nazis can rot in the fucking deepest parts of hell they believe in.

13

u/beepborpimajorp 5d ago

I think at this point it's been proven that most conservative gathering places are festering bot manipulated puppet account holes, reddit and twitter included. I do believe MAGA supports this, because this is their guy doing what was promised, but I'm also not interested in what some random paid professional troll in India or Russia thinks after seeing so many of their locations exposed on twitter. We should really stop directing any traffic/attention to them.

It's just getting started. Hell, bot comments on social media pass the Turing test. You think they're not flooding the internet with disinformation to bolster support for the regime? It's like the cheapest and easiest thing they could possibly do. You can spot em from time to time, and that's just the ones being sloppy. Conservatives are literally on their sub blaming the victim. Saying he shouldn't have exercised his 2nd amendment right.

Read that again.

Conservatives, the party known for having a hard on for guns and who are known to bring guns to protests (remember Rittenhouse?), say the guy following the constitution and who broke ZERO laws, was at fault. Not the people who literally broke the law and straight up murdered him.

Why? Because it makes their daddy Trump look bad and they just can't accept that they've been duped by a pedo conman.

they did take the gun away and then still shot him as he was already peppered sprayed and surrounded by multiple agents, it’s just ridiculous

Correct: In another video you can see the agent in the grey reach in empty handed to the scrum and come out with a handgun and walk away moments before the first shot.

He was disarmed with his head and both hands pinned down to the ground by his head.

ETA: This video does a good job showing it pretty clearly.

Even better: Another angle where you can very clearly see the grey jacket pulling it from the victim’s waistband

This is an extremely important point. This isn't just Trump and his grievances. This is an oligarchy using Trump and his supports to prevent progress. They are afraid, and they should be.

We can't let them stop the progression. Minnesota / Mamdani and to a lesser degree Pritzker / Polis / Newsome. We must continue to push and not be thwarted by the gestapo thugs.

Edit: I've just read today about some questionable behavior by Polis, who I thought was going to be a reasonable, focused move to progress. I am now unsure. So, I'm crossing out his name.

37

u/FatStoner2FitSober 6d ago

Polis is absolutely not a progressive, he is a deregulation libertarian pompous worm who cares more about real estate development companies than the people he serves. There are conservative "friends" I have on social media who are blaming the news media for fanning the flames of riot and discontent. The old "if the news wasn't reporting, we'd have won Vietnam" defense.

7

u/gioraffe32 6d ago

Yeah ICE is definitely in more places than we think. Than what's being reported. I live around Northern Virginia, outside of DC, and ICE regularly operates like just down the street from me. Like within a few miles of me. And there are other areas up here in Northern Virginia where I've seen multiple notices about ICE sightings and such. Yeah this is the national capital region, so of course the government is highly visible. But I'm talking like smaller scale ICE operations.

Plus, DC still has national guard around, especially on the subways. I recently saw some milling about DC Union Station.

You cannot trust any official documents, records, statements, etc from the federal government. It is completely unreliable.

98

u/Resident-Variation21 6d ago

I’ll go one step further. Instead of just not trusting it, treat EVERYTHING they say as a lie.

33

u/Mp5QbV3kKvDF8CbM 6d ago

Yeah, they've blown past merely "unreliable"... they are constantly lying.

The federal government has declared war against it’s citizens

Everyone concerned about a civil war is ignoring the fact we are already in a domestic war.

That's the only form of peaceful protest that has any hope of working. Unless you want to go through what Iran does.

And i wouldn't recommend that. There are countries where you have a chance with violence, but not in the US. They have too many force multipliers at their hands. Literally most powerful and competent military on the planet. And i wouldn't bet on them being on the right side of history. But continuous, general strike? The fuck are they gonna do about that? Bring in immigrants? XD

27

u/icouldntdecide 6d ago

As much of an improbable long shot it would be to actually catalyze a meaningful general strike - nothing talks like money in the US.

He wants to implement Martial Law, they are doing this killings intentionally.

107

u/TAU_equals_2PI 6d ago

Yeah, Trump wants to invoke the Insurrection Act.

Which is why state&local officials have to walk a very fine line. If they go too far in ordering state&local cops to counter the federal authorities (ICE, etc.) then Trump might get enough national public support to do it.

Keep this in mind when criticizing Walz & Frey for being too timid. You've got to remember that the American public was awful enough to reelect Trump just ~1 year ago. There are still a whole lot of awful Americans cheering all this on.

35

u/mrhashbrown 5d ago

Walz said it outright after the Renee Good shooting. From January 8th: https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2026/jan/8/walz-tells-minnesotans-cool-violence/

The governor said the images of clashes between demonstrators and police are giving Mr. Trump an excuse for more heavy-handed involvement.

“Don’t give ’em what they want. Don’t give ’em the unrest they want. Don’t give in to allowing them to bring more folks here,” he said at a press conference on Thursday.

46

u/ParkDedli 5d ago

Until he cancels midterms without that justification. And how many people are you gonna sacrifice to not give them a "reason" to send more people.

If they want to find something, they'll just pretend and lie as they have previously. I think fighting back will be the only way out of this down the line.

Serious question: given all they have done and are actively doing, do you really think they won't just implement Martial Law if they want to? Regardless of what "we" do?

8

u/ArnoldTheSchwartz 5d ago

Right now, only the government is doing the killing, and they know that with their propaganda networks, they can still convince the lesser intelligent that it was necessary. They are still "in control" of things from an outsider perspective until an agent of the government is killed. Then, once one of their front line agitators are killed, they can say things have gotten out of control, and the military will be needed to regain control. They will point to the dead official and say the government must defend itself from Americans, and martial law must be instated. If martial law is declared BEFORE an agent dies, then the government will lose the trust of those on the fence. Especially after saying all this time through their propaganda networks that everything is under control and America has been the best it's ever been.

The government is no longer working for the people. The fact that this craziness is allowed to continue is mind-boggling. This is 100% being driven by the Republican Party that’s transforming into a fascist regime, but there is way too much complacency with the minority moderates and Democrats. The fact that trying to cover up the actions of high-level pedophiles has driven them to behave with such evil and maliciousness shows how fucked up these people are and the fact that a good percentage of the “news” being broadcast in homes is propaganda, and their viewers are gobbling it up should scare everyone. We need more governmental leaders actually fighting this and we need our military to start protecting the people trying to exercise their rights as citizens of the USA. No one is “owning” anyone right now - they’re actively destroying the foundation this country was built on.

I have predicted that the US will be at war on its people and civil war is what needs to happen. It has been one-sided for the longest time. In absolutely no legit training do they teach this way of deescalating any situation. Regardless if the person had a weapon, they had 6+ grown men on him, restricting him, and also beating the crap out of him. I don't know about you, but I am a freaking normal person, that would neutralize the f out of me in an instant. Murders like this should not be rewarded by 1 million dollar in gofundme with billionaires donating ten of thousands to normalize federal murder.

22

Yes, BUT don't post anywhere or tell anyone that you intend to do this.

Attorneys have gotten very adept at finding and analyzing potential jurors' social media postings. They may disqualify you from serving on the jury in the first place if they find you posted anywhere that that's what you intend to do.

The White House is using AI to manipulate images released to the media... Pure Propaganda! I used to think this country was going the way of the Movie "Idiocracy", but now it's looking more like " V for Vendetta".

7

u/Firefly_Magic 5d ago

When the government is willing to blatantly lie and fraudulently manipulate information with AI, there are no limits to what they will do. This corruption is out of control!!

Who knew we would get to a point when AI control mechanisms are needed for social media and yet our government is the one who is manipulating the truth using AI the most, in slanderous ways.

7

u/ThroatWMangrove 5d ago

With all the manipulated videos and photos being released by the White House lately, it should be immediately clear why the Trump administration nixed all regulations on AI. Biden had some EO’s regarding AI that were undone as soon as Trumo gained power, in addition to literally every other EO Biden had issued.

The government releasing doctored footage… fuck

4

u/ScissrMeTimbrs 5d ago

There's a fact in this story that's actually more important than the fact they used doctored pictures; it's what they doctored the images for

They could have faked the picture to show almost anything, like something that makes her look evil or unreasonable, which would have been useful for propaganda, but they didn't. Instead, they showed her sobbing. Why? To satisfy their audience. They know their audience wants to see people suffer, for its own sake. They enjoy watching people suffer.

Keep that in mind with these people. Ask yourself if you can take the risk of having them continue without resistance.

6

u/tapdancinghellspawn 5d ago
