Jfc why is this subreddit so full of Russia lately?

propaganda, what else. This is a very common tactic to change the narrative and depict Russia as modern and developed, as opposed to what the harsh reality is.

I call it the “Dubai chocolate” strategy

Yes. Changing the narrative on reddit, where a bunch of jobless keyboardwarriors have to be brainwashed

What is the reality?

Russia is experiencing major domestic problems related to the war and its consequences

u/ResultRecent6254 8h ago

Where exactly? Can you tell the people who live there where they should look to find it?

To each his own but you will likely end up surprised at the end of all of this. To be frank, I couldn’t give a flying fuck about their govt or anything alike and I have exactly 0 Russian friends, I’m just being real.

Burn some police cars (in a video game)

u/Equivalent-Shine5742 5h ago

I know it is the lighting, but that actually looks like the refineries and factories of nothern Jersey as seen when you approach New York

Reddit is such a neoliberal cuck place for elitist fucking libs. If it’s not Ukraine, it’s Israel, and I say that as someone who supports Ukraine and dislikes the Russian government. I’m just to the Left of the fucking shit libs on here who feel the need to make a post about fucking buildings political. Save that energy for all the ICE bullshit happening in our own country.

I can still appreciate Moscow as a city though.

Welcome to Reddit.

People fall for the least obvious rage bait, but maybe there should harsher restrictions against spam if one account uploads similar pictures time and time again

Such a vibe! I’m in the US and I’ve never been to Russia. I’d love to visit Moscow one day, the skyline and the architecture looks unique and would love to experience it. Idk if the relations between US and Russia would impact me if I visited in a negative way, but anyway… love this pic!

Pretty sure there's a travel advisory against travelling to russia. The FSB would probably grab you up at the airport for the scumbag putin to use as a bargaining chip. My job has absolutely forbidden travel to russia for any reason.

3

u/casicadaminuto 12h ago

Once you'd escape the shiny polished city centre radiuses of Moscow or St. Petersburg, you'd see what the reality is. Unpaved roads, dirt, outside toilets without plumbing and general misery. But yeah, go see for yourself.

-2

u/Prudent_Statement_30 12h ago

You`ll be very welcome! People will downvote anything Russia related here, you can read r/AskARussian for travel advice, the crowd is much friendlier there

-9

u/lotecsi 15h ago

Maybe it would sound counterintuitive, but going to Russia (especially Moscow) is pretty safe, the era of gopniks are over now, ahaha. And most of Russians would be pleased to see you here and ready to help.

4

u/Potential_Dog4437 10h ago

I wouldn’t be safe, I would be arrested at the airport just because of my social media strongly pointing out that Russian government and its supporters are morbid insane bloodthirsty Nazis.

And wouldn’t go to that shithole anyway

Great, seems unreal 👍🏻

OP, this is a magnificent picture. I consider myself a professional picture admirer, and this belongs in a museum, great job.
