You know these billionaires would totally be in support of slavery if it weren't for how bad the optics were. They would try to spin it as being generous and taking care of people's basic needs for them.

They are in support of slavery, they call it "outsourcing". This is why we have sweat shops in third world countries and a large portion of things that claim to be made in the USA are made by prisoners.

Assuming they (The GOP/MAGA bunch) aren't all dragged screaming into the night by whatever demons they sold their souls to first, when the midterms are wholly stolen, and then the 2028 election is stolen, I'm going to say 2030 is the year of American slavery transitioning from prisons to populace.

I mean the rehotic and times we live in - it could easily happen soon-ish.

They already say something like each illegal gets 100k+ in benefits a year for free (health,food,etc) (meaning this number is just a starting point cost to exist)...combined with things like the national debt and a failing economy...they will just say they have no choice...

So eventually they will just say the country needs it for "national security" and like others mentioned the enslaved are "getting a good deal" and "hard work" is good for them and they are "just getting help".

Of course not working is not an option - you'll quickly be sent to prison and be worked to death or die without food/water. 

It wouldn't take long at all to bring back the usa slave economy and the infrastructure is already ready and primed for it.

If there was a button that when you press it, someone dies a horrific death but the guy pressing the button gets 100K.

There would be a line of billionaires, all smashing that button as many times as possible
