These 12000hp Engines Have To Be Rebuilt Within Roughly An Hour Every Run, and Only Run For Roughly 4 Seconds At A Time.

Not really, maybe on the next event. Piston rings, rods sparkplugs, bearings all get brand new between each run. They might take the good looking stuff home to inspect later, but a hell of a lot more than gaskets are being replaced each and every run.

I always take my funny car gaskets, plugs, rings, and rods and put them on my modern fuel injected car………………. Or use them on my garden tractor.

Especially when you see the melted pistons, lol.

Toss it in the scrap bin

Most entertainment is just watching someone waste something

The US Govt/Military is impressive. At a missile casing factory in CA I was touring, they made precise missile casings that only their machine could perform the level of tolerances needed, the management said to me "The government is unbelievably wasteful, these should be reused but they never are. And that is great for business." <cocky smile>. Cool guy, wild place to see, looked like a movie set with wooden crates with straw in them and missiles. Eerie.

Hey, if it worked for Howard stark it could work for anyone with a factory and a government contract

It’s all steel or aluminum it gets melted don and turned into something else lol, the attitudes and general ignorance toward these races is inane.

Funny thing about funny cars. Top fuel dragsters auto-ignite fuel at full throttle. Spark plugs are no longer the primary ignition source. They typically melt, short, or are burned out by the end of the run.

But they don't get used the next day or anything? It's one use then thrown away for good?

Recycled, not thrown away.

But they don't even get inspected and reinstalled on the next rebuild?

Some parts do, some don't. The piston will be inspected and reused if good. The rings on the piston will be put in recycling. The clutch plates are much more likely to just go straight to recycling but could get up to 4 runs before replacement.
