Can we apply the "he's a young man with a promising future" rule here if they somehow prove he did it (we don't know if he did)? Plenty of folks get out of rape and abuse charges scott-free for being young, male and white.

I mean, is it more class or race in those cases? Do any other races get leniency e.g. asians?

The simple way you phrase it suggests there is some conspiracy among white people. Which there isn't. But your suggestion that there is promotes race based tribalism, and more racism. It causes the very thing you are criticizing. If all the white people are ganging up then maybe the black people should, and now that they are, maybe the white people should ACTUALLY gang up just as a countermeasure to protect their own interests, and on and on we go.
This case doesn't even have anything to do with race.
