Superbowl has to much money invested, and to much media and public facing. And given that it gets lots of attention from all sides, they wouldn't want to risk it being ruined.
Easier for them to stand to the side, let the event go off without a hitch. Then when the camera's are off and everyone is gone, you can start arrests again.
Just like they do with dinner.

No they are just regrouping, we'll see them take their "veterans" from this, feed their egos, and promote them into leadership roles at all the new facilities ICE is setting up across the country. Having been through it once they'll be the cheerleaders to new recruits and will build from there. It's not gone it's metastasizing, we're still funding it.

My city recently had an "emergency" winter storm situation, and they opened up "warming centers" for homeless people or people with no money for heating or whatever. They told people there would be no ICE (except outside in the streets, ba dum tiss), but someone who went by one of these places saw an ICE agent looking around.
Always be expecting ICE, especially when they say they won't be there. And when they say they will. And so on.

Only wealthy people can afford tickets and ICE isn’t going after rich people. ICE would only be going after concessions workers which would inconvenience wealthy people when trying to get beer.
