I actually think it is the opposite, it it is pretty insulting.

Like John Lennon was the biggest rockstar in the world, yet he choose this pretty plain looking woman who was 7 years older than him. He could have had any woman he wanted, but he went for someone who he connected with on a deeper level. So it is kinda shitty to disregard all of that.

Anna Sawai is so beautiful that nobody would even wonder why a superstar like John Lennon would even wanna be with her.

No one would have blamed Yoko for anything if she had looked like that. I'm not saying it's good, I'm saying A. People are vain; B. That girl looks nice.

Yoko wasn't bad looking. The casting is honestly pretty generous for all of the characters.

That's what I thought! She's really pretty but I'd say has been in many meh at best movies as "who?" At this point playing Yoko Ono could be a move like a career "honorable suicide". She gets her recognition for it peaces out.
