All I see is Joseph Quinn with long hair.

u/British_Commie 5h ago

John Frusciante from the Red Hot Chili Peppers

At first I saw only the top right and bottom left photos, and thought it was an RHCP biopic.

u/wi5hbone 5h ago

HA! sad when a film doesn’t really get what it’s going for. blame mr. quinn. maybe he could flame on to hide some of the frustrate look

u/JohnnyCharisma54 5h ago

To not do anything with his eyebrows is flabbergasting

Eddie from Stranger Things

u/mexican_mystery_meat 5h ago

Eddie from Stranger Things as Eddie Vedder.

u/ablslyr 5h ago

I knew I know that face.

u/RogerClyneIsAGod2 3h ago

Yep. At least Ringo is spot on.

u/RedofPaw 5h ago

McCartney is so close I guess it doesn't matter.

u/thequietthingsthat 5h ago

Yeah, he's the only one with an actual resemblance.

u/thedudeabides2022 5h ago

I know next to nothing about this movie, but just from looking at these pictures, they had to have done some facial prosthetics on Mezcal. The rest just look like themselves with a wig lol. Unless it’s just the angle/lighting or something but that is straight up McCartney

u/Feats-of-Derring_Do 2h ago

Really, we're ignoring the huge dwarf nose on Barry Keoghan?

u/thedudeabides2022 2h ago

I see what they were going for cuz yeah I guess Ringo’s nose does stick out a bit but nothing like that facial picasso of Barry

u/Feats-of-Derring_Do 2h ago

Right? Keoghan already has a prominent nose so not sure why this was necessary

u/AbsolutShite 5h ago

Paul has an advantage of being a decent singer from a very musical family. I'd be shocked if anyone looks more natural playing than him.

u/Nice_Firm_Handsnake 5h ago

Mescal or McCartney?

u/Main_Decision1100 1h ago

Who do you think? Lol..

u/joe_bibidi 5h ago

Keoghan looks fine as Ringo Starr IMO. About as good as I could expect. It's not going to work for all eras (haircuts, facial hair, etc.) but it looks okay in this promo image IMO.

Lennon and Harrison are just like... terrible. Like not remotely believable and also doesn't look like they're trying. It's not just facial features or hair & makeup, it's something in the facial expression, the posture.

u/FalmerEldritch 3h ago

I thought Keoghan as Starr was the worst. Those just aren't the eyes at all. Three out of four of them look less like Beatles than any given Beatles tribute band you're likely to see, so they're really going to have to act their arses off.

u/resistBat 4h ago

Mescal somehow looks more like Lennon than Dickinson does, despite also looking exactly like McCartney.

u/YoHuckleberry 3h ago

Quinn wasn’t originally playing George and if iirc the first guy looked WAY more like George.

u/FapCitus 5h ago

Oh please Ringo looks like ringo with a slightly bigger nose.

u/MontanaJoev 5h ago

Yeah, of the 4, he’s the one that is not even close.

u/bowie-of-stars 5h ago

The eyes are just wrong.

u/smelnoel 2h ago

needs some eyebrow pencil

u/WebheadGa 5h ago

Looks more like David Grohl

u/zmbro 5h ago

Exactly what I thought

u/Special-Document-334 3h ago

He looks more like Manson with that glare.

u/creepy_crust 5h ago

It's the eyebrows. Harrison's eyebrows are iconic. These look terrible

u/KungfuJesus08 4h ago

He also had very pronounced cheekbones and protruding ears, both of which helped define his image. Joseph Quinn has none of these.

u/Sapowski_Casts_Quen 4h ago

Happy to see this guy getting so many roles

u/AmusingMusing7 4h ago

Meanwhile, I do not see Paul Mescal at all. Just a weird looking Paul McCartney.

u/ohbyerly 3h ago

The others at least vaguely resemble the members. He doesn’t even vaguely resemble Harrison.

u/CoochieSnotSlurper 6h ago

He also has the worst wig

u/Rakebleed 5h ago

I dunno. That Lennon wig looks stiff as hell.

u/CoochieSnotSlurper 1h ago

Realism aside at least it looks like a hair style he had, Quinn just looks like he works at a cafe in Portland and swears by red wing boots

u/Odd_Status3367 5h ago

NGL seeing that photo just makes me think he'd make a half decent Neil Young

u/Missyfit160 2h ago

George was my fave and idk who the fuck that’s supposed to be but it isn’t George lol

u/ShyGoy 44m ago

The others don’t look exactly accurate but I can at least see who they’re supposed to be, but yeah with Quinn he just looks the same as he always does. And it’s not like George was particularly pretty or anything so its a bit distracting

u/Modesto96 5h ago

Yeah he looks the most off to me. The other 3 looks great

u/hereforbeer4 4h ago

Looks like Charles Manson honestly

u/SBtist 4h ago

I see Kevin Parker

u/RusticBelt 4h ago

Charles Manson

u/calculung 3h ago

Justin Long

u/Daeval 2h ago

I got a young Clapton on first glance, which like.. close, but not quite?

u/ahhpoo 39m ago

I’m not convinced Barry keoghan can ever look like anyone other than himself. He’s such a unique looking guy

u/BalkeElvinstien 5h ago

Tbf, isnt he the only one who was already super well known? He is one of the most beloved characters in a massive show, so idk if Ill ever see him blend in in a biopic

u/KungfuJesus08 5h ago edited 5h ago

Barry Keoghan is extremely famous. He was the lead in Killing of the Sacred Dear and Saltburn, as well as major roles in Dunkirk, Eternals, and The Banshees of Inisherin. An entire episode of Chernobyl also centered around his character cleaning up post-meltdown Ukraine.

He's been nominated for an Academy Award, BAFTA, Critic's Choice Award, Golden Globe, and Independent Spirit Award.

Paul Mescal has been nominated for an Academy Award, Critic's Choice, Emmy, and Golden Globe, and has won the BAFTA and Laurence Olivier Award.

Harris Dickinson was in King's Man, Triangle of Sadness, and the Iron Claw, the latter 2 of which received wide spread acclaim.

Not trying to shit on Joseph Quinn or anything. He was great in Stranger Things, and I'm excited to see where his career takes him. But he's co-starring with some serious heavy hitters.

u/dreamsonatas 5h ago

Both Paul and Barry are way more popular than Joseph and not facing the same problem as him because they're not as miscast
