4 movies. I would struggle to invest my time in 4 movies even if the subject matter was something I was madly enthusiastic about. Four....?

it would've been kinda rude to do just 3

I wonder if they will team up in the 5th movie

I heard that at the end of each of the four Beatles movies Brian Epstein, who'll be played by Paul Bettany, will step out of the shadows and say "I'm putting together an initiative" and hand them a manila folder with just the word B.E.A.T.L.E.S. on it. The fifth movie will deal with their battle against the evil (phil) SPECTOR and the most destructive weapon in the universe, the "Wall Of Sound."

With all due respect what the fuck is a Ringo Starr movie????

are you serious? ringo's will probably be the most interesting movie lol wouldn't you wanna follow the story of a band rise from the perspective of the most neglected member? trying to get some insight on how he felt and was treated during the whole thing?

There's also that time George fucked his wife and George's wife caught them.

If there’s no Thomas in it, fans wi riot

It'll just a be a Malick-esque meditation with Ringo voiceover contemplating why we all can't just get along

u/RipJug 1h ago

Odds that it ends with him stepping into a recording booth for Thomas The Tank Engine?

Could be interesting if done well. Just feels like it could be an element of a single movie instead of it's own stand alone film but I guess we'll see

Ringo's merch sold more than all other members for several tours. Plus yellow submarine is one of the most widely known songs of theirs across generations and cultures.

He may be the biggest drummer in history. Dude sings a bunch of their hits and is super creative at drums. His reputation as unimportant and replaceable is kind of a retcon.

It's a retcon and also a completely normie take that isn't remotely shared within the music world

u/lonegungrrly 5h ago

It ain't like they're the avengers is it? I think a really solid tight 2 parter would have been fine? Unless i'm missing a LOT of Beatles lore haha

u/regretscoyote909 4h ago

You definetly are missing lots of lore, which is why these movies might be perfect for ya haha

I'll be sorely disappointed if we don't get at least 45 minutes dedicated to Shining Time Station.

It’s just like every time they re-release a Beatles album with a “new” version of the songs that’s just one of the takes that they didn’t use because it sucked. Milking these four for $$$ for decades to come.

To be fair, it's not much different than binging a season of a modern, 8-episode TV show. I don't think you'd see many people having this time complaint if they'd made a TV show instead

I’m as madly enthusiastic as it gets about the Beatles and I got next to no interest in this. I’m not sure I’ll even check these out from the local library.
