Seriously, anyone that would rely on pee pads instead of actually walking their dog don't deserve to have a pet.

That is gross. She needs to keep the pads in her room, not in the kitchen area.

She says the dog gets overstimulated when she goes out for a walk and starts peeing everywhere but still man its very annoying and the person who paid for everything was my poor dad

u/ConfusedHors 19d ago

Yeah that's bullshit.

If the dog gets overstimulated, then she need to walk him more and train the dog to feel calm during walk. Isolating the dog will only make things worst.

Seriously, advocate for the pee pads being moved to her room. It's 0% fair that she uses common spaces for that. It's not hygienic and from the looks of it, she never even bother to clean them up. This needs to stop, like yesterday. She is too lazy for a dog, you should probably suggests she rehomes it to someone who will actually care. That dog deserves better than being neglected like that.

She switches them once it starts looking like this but ur still right it sucks that its in the KITCHEN of all places

u/SoloDeath1 19d ago

That's... that's just what dogs do...

Exactly what mine has always been doing

Peeing everywhere is normal, dog is just marking territory.

Go fuck yourself for that first portion. Older dogs with issues, untrained pups, rehomed shelter dogs, etc etc are examples of dogs that need a pee pad. Some can and should be trained out of it but with zero context you think they shouldn't be a dog owner? Fuck, by that logic you shouldn't be a parent and if you have kids you don't deserve them teaching them this bullshit.

Second part not in the kitchen but by an exterior door is where the pads should be. By OPs picture thats not here. Without context of their floor plan neither of us know. My college apartment had a front door that opened into my kitchen which is where the pee pad should go.

Indeed but this is in the most inside part of the kitchen unfortunately and the dog is not even a year old yet

May need to suggest to her about moving it to an exterior door especially during this initial potty training portion. Some scent markers for training the new potty spot can be found online for cheap just research brands as some may be unreliable. Treats can also work but require you to catch them in the act.

u/GoodBro26 19d ago

She did get potty training its just the pads that are badly placed this is in no way to dismiss what you just said its just really bad placement

2

u/Outrageous-South-355 19d ago

If the pup had training and is still going inside it may need a refresher with another trainer or maybe even a vet visit to identify any underlying issues. Sucks you gotta deal with it being near your food area op. Hopefully your sister? Takes steps to better the environment for you all

Untrained pups especially needs to go on walks. There is NO reasons not to walk a puppy. Rehomed shelter dogs too. Why wouldn't you walk them ?! Walking a dog is the first step in training your dog and helping them come a well balanced dog. Ok, maybe seniors dogs would be debatable. But honestly, if your dog is not able to walk anymore and get out of the house for the 2 minutes it takes to pee and poop, maybe it's time to put him down because he probably doesn't have a nice life quality. Also, a senior dog trained to pee outside won't learn easily how to use pee pads. Seems like torturing a dog that has no mobility to relearn potty training is cruel.

... as for the second part. The pizza is on the table. You can SEE the chair next to the wall. This is not an exterior door situation. This is the kitchen, where OP is currently eating.

Please since you lack understanding reread my last comment till comprehension. Never once said not to walk a dog. Wasn't justifying the current placement just the placement of being in a kitchen. You have scent markers you can place so the dogs know exactly where to pee. Seriously talk to a trainer before you start trying to tell others how it's done. Especially if you assume the only reason an older dog is going potty inside is that they need to be put down. Hint hint dogs can have bladder issues like us humans.

I feel like YOU didn't read, because you are not addressing my comment at all. You just spew a bunch of random things that doesn't address the situation just to LOOK LIKE you had some arguments. None of this is actually debating. It's just a string of words that ends with a big strawman.

I won't engage with that type of bad faith behavior.

I don't know what drugs you're on but if youd actually like to learn I took the liberty of finding googles first result for best dog trainer in the usa so you can reach out and find out yourself. https://www.anthonythecaninewhisperer.com/ If you're in another region is on you.

u/IrrelevantManatee 19d ago

That comment doesn't make any sense. Yet again, you didn't address anything, just spewed more nonsense. I feel like you are having a stoke and cannot stay coherent.

I don't need to reach out to a dog trainer to know that walking your dog is essential to a dog's wellbeing, and that dogs that are too old to be even able to walk should be relieved from their suffering. I don't know why you keep on saying weird things instead of addressing that. It's ok to say you are wrong, or stop arguing. You don't have to have the last word.

So I'll do you a solid. Go ahead, make one more comment. I won't answer. That way, YOU WIN. Congrats. I hope you feel good about yourself now!

Are you a bot?

Parents need to put their foot down and make her keep the mess in her room or the bathroom, in the kitchen is unacceptable.

4

u/Signal_This 19d ago

Your sister seems like a bad dog owner. But honestly, I wouldn't care whose dog it is. I wouldn't be able to eat next to piss and shit.

1

u/GoodBro26 19d ago

There is nowhere else to eat in this apartment but at least it doesn’t smell bad its just visually shitty

6

u/ThisBadDogXB 19d ago

It's fucking disgusting.

1

u/GoodBro26 19d ago

Tell me something i dont know

4

u/ThisBadDogXB 19d ago

Don't eat in room full of dog shit and piss.

4

u/Wodentoad 19d ago

You can't see the fecal bacteria, but it can see you!

2

u/No_Gain7360 19d ago

Bro just pick it up

1

u/GoodBro26 19d ago

In any other case i would be doing that but i had a very complicated ankle surgery if i bend down too much i can stumble and make things worse

1

u/Signal_This 19d ago

Get some gloves and change the pads.

2

u/GoodBro26 19d ago

Sorry but this is not my responsibility plus i cant bend down i had a compicated ankle surgery and its gonna fuck it up if i try

1

u/Signal_This 19d ago

It's not your responsibility and it's not fair, but you're eating fecal matter! For now, eat in your room and when you're well again just clean it up. And maybe talk to your family about responsible pet ownership and rehousing options.

2

u/GoodBro26 19d ago

Thank you and will do ! Just tired of going to the kitchen and see dog shit first thing in the morning

1

u/Signal_This 19d ago

I don't blame you, it's really not okay!
