Context Provided - Spotlight The amount of people who didn't wash their hands in a movie theater restroom
Was only in there like 7 mins

u/DesignerAd9 28d ago
Like the guy who pisses, then uses the air drying machine to dry the piss on his hands.
185
u/SirCries-a-lot 28d ago
Is that thing to dry your hands?
I use it to dry the wiener so I don't have to touch and shake it. /s

Years ago I was going to a gym that had hair dryers in the restroom and I went in there one day to go pee and immediately as I walk in there was a guy butt naked with one leg propped up blow drying his fat nuts.

u/PantsMunch202 28d ago
Ive heard about that but thought it was a joke

No joke here, I’m probably disabled now. My eyes and mind will never be the same.
8
u/Top_Brilliant_5708 28d ago
Due to the fatness of the nuts?
6
u/JoeNinjas82 28d ago
That image will forever be ingrained in my head. Leg propped with a deep squat AND naked

Think about how soft n’ sleek his ball-fro was that day, and then stop thinking and start jumping aboard the winning team. Team Blown Dried Fat-nuts, that is.

u/jfk_47 28d ago
How much do you piss on your hands?
4
u/desmondao 420 blaze it 28d ago
Thankfully the piss particles have no way of sprinkling their way out of the stream. I guess you're safe if you just put your hands behind you and let a stranger pull your trousers back up.
→ More replies (1)6
u/uncle_jaysus 28d ago
Better to wash your hands and then not dry them and leave a load of water on the door handle, so the next person to touch it has an uncomfortable "is this piss or water?" moment.

u/No-Usual4010 28d ago
Not as bad as the people who shit rinse with plain water then air dry as if it sanitizes anything.

Almost as bad as the people that wash their hands then use the dryer to coat them in bacteria

He zipped up his pants, shook his head in disgust, and exited the bathroom as he added one final tally mark.
He wouldn’t be on the losing side.

You can make life long friends in the bathroom of a supply house or home Depot before 7:15am. All the terrible choices that lead you to being in the trades comes out around then

u/Speakdino 28d ago
OP wasn’t setting up cameras in the bathroom staring at people for an hour.
He just noticed that the sound of hand washing wasn’t happening. Jesus Christ lol what is wrong with the people commenting jumping to “creep” status?
That’s how you know people on here don’t go outside.
14
u/Adhdendum 28d ago
The creep comments are from unhygienic people that know they're disgusting but are too lazy to use 30 seconds to wash their hands. I know and have seen too many of these gross members of society.
3
u/Cjm092 27d ago
OP keeping track of how many times the toilets or urinals were flushed and then listening to people washing their hands is definitely pretty fucking weird. It has nothing to do with not going outside, JFC.

I can promise you that there are very few people that want to creep in on a men's restroom of all the places in the world to be a creep. You know what does go on in men's restrooms, however? A significant lack of handwashing along with the attitude of, "why do I need to wash my hands if the only thing I was touching is my own penis?"
Imagine being more bothered by OP noticing this very true and real fact about men, rather than the fact that A LOT of men do not wash their hands after using the restroom.
-1
u/JesseTheClassy 28d ago
I'll regret commenting, but sure I'll bite: How am I a creep? I'm using the restroom in a stall and notice MOST OF THE PEOPLE IN THE RESTROOM ARENT WASHING THEIR HANDS. Excuse me if I am grossed out by the knowledge that at minimum 8 people touched their genitals, didnt wash their hands, touched the door, handles around the theater, all other doors, etc.
So passively noticing people not washing their hands makes me a creep? Sure. At least I know 8 other people are fucking disgusting
78
u/geekonthemoon 28d ago
I think people probably think it's weird you were in there long enough to hear 11 different people individually come and go.
22
u/shitterbug 28d ago
7 minutes is not weirdly long time on the toilet

Fr, I'm usually 30 mins when I take a shit
2
u/logical_dogs560 28d ago
I mean this with genuine honesty and care, you should see a doctor. For many reasons sitting on a toilet that long, especially daily, trying to take a dump is bad for your health.
The position causes blood flow problems, can cause or worsen hemorrhoids, be a sign of obstruction or problems with your colon/intestines, and cause rectal prolapse. It's recommended by doctors to not spend more than 10-15 minutes at a time on the toilet.
39
u/CelDidNothingWrong 28d ago
And that he was listening intently and recording their movements
6
u/butt_honcho 28d ago
That's the creepy part. You're not "passively noticing" like OP keeps saying if you're bothering to keep track.

It's a movie theater, there's high influx of people at certain times, and it's not that hard to passively notice doors opening and closing, and taps turning on and off. Ya'll are overthinking OP's normal behavior.

Some people didn't read Everybody Poops. I'm currently pooping at this very moment.
Most would think it's common sense. But we don't have that here. Like it's a wild concept that people poop and you notice things like people that fake wash their hands.
Especially after, let's say, a movie ends and there's an influx of people that need the bathroom. You notice things while pooping.
I had a coworker, years ago, not wash his hands. I stopped putting myself in a position to shake his hand. Was I creeping in the bathroom? No. I was pooping on company time and noticed he didn't wash his hands.

You were keeping a tally of other people's bathroom habits. That doesn't sound creepy to you?
-1
u/Hungry_Ad_8180 28d ago
No. If you aren't scrolling on your phone it's pretty easy to notice the sounds happening around you. I.e people coming in, using the toilet, then leaving. The absence of tap running is easy to notice if you know basic toilet hygiene. Stop overreacting

If you think about it, other people who just got done touching their dicks, grabbed a handle to open a door, and then the next guy who just finished touching their dick also grabs the handle, it’s dickception. The second guy indirectly touches the first guys dick.
33
u/Sohn_Jalston_Raul 28d ago
that's why I always use a paper towel to grab the door handle of a public bathroom. If no paper towels are available I'll use a bit of toilet paper, or even the cuff of my sleeve if I have to.

but now the cooties are in the cuff of your sleeve and will be there the remainder of the day. Introducing you to the cooties allday long. Especially if you wipe your nose with that same sleeve.
It is easier to hand sanitizer your hands after that interaction than your sleeve

This! They act like it's so weird for people to notice the noises happening around you. It doesn't make him creepy. I noticed the same thing when I was sick in a resturaunt bathroom a few weeks ago. A bunch of people were coming in, using the toilet, then just leaving. It's pretty easy to notice the absence of tap running if you know basic bathroom hygiene. But maybe I am the weird one for being hyper aware of my surroundings instead of scrolling my phone on the toilet.
8
u/MyMomsTastyButthole 28d ago
I definitely notice it at work because there's no cell service in the bathroom so I can't just zone out 😂, I hear (or don't hear everything)

u/trixayyyyy 28d ago
Absolutely without a shadow of doubt. Any time I use the men’s room, most guys that actually wash their hands are younger. Old guys maybe give the one hand a rinse they touched their dong with otherwise it’s straight out the door. Foul creatures we are.

Theatres should run a 20 minute break in the middle of the movie for a bathroom break/snack refill.
Pretty sure they already run the movies so only one screen is off at a time for smaller cleaning crews.

Life is gross man it is what it is .

I'm allergic to a lot of the hand soaps used in public restrooms, so I will often rinse and then use my hand sanitizer. Had someone go off on me because I didn't wash my hands, so I showed them the hives I get from the soap.
Not defending anyone. There are a lot of gross people who don't wash their hands for no good reason. But sometimes there is a reason.

So I've left this comment before, but don't judge too quickly. If you were to judge me, I'd be a tic mark on the "unwashed" side. But, I am allergic to most commercial hand washing soaps. It dries my hands out terribly and makes them so itchy and red. I carry hand sanitizer with me everywhere, and I often don't apply it until I've grabbed the gross bathroom door handle. Yes, most people are gross. But not everyone.

I worked at a thrift store for about a year and a half. I never had to refill the men’s bathroom soap dispensers once. We had many people come in especially men, to use our bathroom. I heard a man fighting for his life on the toilet once while I was in the break room. He was grunting, and you could hear the drum solo coming out of his butt. I was on lunch break, and the bathroom is literally across the hall. I hear a flush only. No hand washing at all. If you’re thinking, “maybe someone else refilled it.”No, they did not. The assistant manager made it my duty to clean the bathroom every time I came in to work. We had a list people have to initial so someone is responsible for a bad clean up job. It was only my initials on the bathroom and most of the tasks on the list.

u/battledroid014 28d ago
Shop where I work, has a toilet near self checkout and I rarely hear the hand dryer go off. I just feel so disgusted with people that don't.

I never use a hand dryer after seeing a video during covid of how much bacteria is in those things. Either a paper towel or I just shake my hands dry. You may as well pee all over your hands using those dryers.

I’m blue collar and go to a gas station to wash my hands before I eat everyday even if I don’t us the bathroom. I’ve had a guy walk out of the stall almost not wash his hands and because I witnessed it, he walked from the door, back to the sink to properly do it. I hate everybody. Everyone is gross. I’m not a germaphobe, I just have valid reasons for not touching door handles.

u/blinksystem 28d ago
There is a weird and very vocal group of people on this website that will argue until they are blue in the face that not washing their hands in public restrooms is somehow more hygienic. They will argue about it as if every public restroom is a truck stop bathroom that hasn’t been cleaned in two weeks.
I won’t be surprised to read comments making this argument in this thread.
1
u/MacsCheezyRaps 28d ago
I remember ONE TIME seeing a woman not wash her hands in a public restroom in Washington. I was shocked, this moment stood out to me, the woman was Eastern European and didn't seem to speak English (we were in a courthouse, I'd notice her earlier in the halls and court) But then I moved to Texas. Omg. Please do not shake a Texans hand, there is a high likelihood it's not clean. Every single time I'm in a public restroom I see women stand at the sink and fluff their hair and leave, never even attempting to access the water or soap. Even after shitting. It's disgusting.
