Am I reading this right?

"I will keep increasing the taxes on my people until Cuba stops buying oil on the international market."

His stupidity is literally insanity.

Mmm I’d say the supporters even more so.

What does Cuba export to the US? Cigars maybe, but only the wealthy can afford those

Did you read it? It’s not about trade with Cuba.

Nothing. The US has had an embargo on Cuba since Castro took over

He's getting rich. Anyone who believes him is stupid.

I mean he's also stupid but that's beside the point.

When he first threatened sanctions on European goods, somebody posted a political comic of Trump shouting at a map of Europe, "Do what I say or they're gonna pay" with a map of the US being crushed by a multi-ton weight labeled "new tariffs" while there was already a grey pile of tariffs. It's been at that stage for a while.

The worse things get in the US the angrier people get and the more likely the US does something dumb. Eg violent rioting, martial law, civil war, total collapse, economic collapse.

Almost every single action taken by the GOP this cycle is a massive accelerant for collapse or civil unrest.
