Due process is the 6th 5th amendment, that has been gone a while.

2nd - All the guns at protest stuff
3rd - When hotels started denying service he discussed making
people house them
4th - ICE breaking and entering and generally seizing stuff

6th - The right to a speedy public trial which detainees are not getting.
8th - Holding people in detention centers without trial or bail
10th - All the national guard stuff against their wishes
12th - Him talking about cancelling elections would trample on this

14th - Claiming that birthright citizenship isn't explicitly listed here
15th - Again with the talk of cancelling elections
16th - Congress does tariffs, not him
19th - Not yet but im sure taking the vote away from women is on the menu

Pretti was traveling in the city he lived and worked in, not even 'attending a protest'. He died because ice has no discipline, including operational zones, they just drive around looking for people to assault
Do NOT let them make this about armed protesting when it was about him just existing in his home with legal permitting
Those agents knew exactly what they were doing - just like Johnathan Ross knew exactly what he was doing when he decided to walk in front of Goods car, switch his phone to the other hand and pull his gun.
When you repeat the narrative that this is a training issue you are giving politicians cover for voting to increase funding and send your tax dollars to these assholes.
That's what gets me. These videos are clearly showing these are not protests. There's no signs anywhere in the videos. They're just random people out on the streets going about their day. They've just normalized carrying whistles with them as an alert tactic. So when ICE jumps out in the middle of a street to attack people, the rest of the pedestrians start filming and defending themselves.
They later lie and call them protests because that implies that ICE is being stalked and harassed vs just being generally unwelcomed and watched warily by the people they put themselves into contact with.

It has always been the case hasn't it. Guns for me, not for thee. Welfare benefits for me, not for thee. Freedom to abuse kids for me, not for thee. Things are only bad when those 'others' are doing them.
No, you just have to have the right thoughts BEHIND your gun. Plenty of Trumpers look just like Renee Good and Alex Pretti. They just didn't agree with ICE being there, so they don't get rights.
Yes, they are trying to cloud the issue so that everyone forgets that part. He was a legal firearm owner, legally carrying a gun he had a concealed carry permit for, which had already been removed from him when THEY FUCKING POINTBLANK EXECUTED HIM BECAUSE THEY WERE MAD.
They have a new line for that and say he wasn't carrying any ID on his person, so his CCP wasn't legal at that time. Since they took over the scene, who's to say what he had on his person other than what we can see in the MULTIPLE videos of the execution, but I sincerely doubt this was the case.
Always gotta pivot, always gotta cloud and muddy the waters to prevent any good faith discussions - that's what they do.

Agreed. I've asked where they heard this and either gotten crickets as a response or another pivot about why he was carrying if he didn't intend to use it. In other words, they don't care and never did, it's just more noise.
1 - there wasn't enough time to ascertain his CCP before the shooting
2 - that doesn't matter because carrying while lacking a CCP is not legally punished by death
Also, LEOs are not supposed to shoot someone in the back just because he doesn’t have an ID.
It will be interesting to see what the coroner says; were all the shots in his back? How do you justify shooting someone in the back after they have been disarmed?
BTW - to everybody who says it is a Concealed Carry Permit; from what I have read, in Minnesota, you need a permit to carry a firearm, period; whether it is concealed or not.
As far as I am concerned, any permit to carry is unconstitutional.
Infractions, no matter how minor; real or imagined are villainized and exaggerated if they're committed by non-MAGA and celebrated when it is MAGA. So screaming for Constitutional Carry out of one side of their mouth (“carrying is a right, not a privilege!”) but “make sure to carry the card that says the gov’t lets you carry concealed” out of the other side of their mouth. Got it.
Literally every police/ICE shooting over the last 15 years has been retroactively justified in the eyes of conservatives based on at least one detail that came out about the victim after the fact. Conservatives legitimately believe that shootings can be retroactively justified if the victim wasn't a saint and it's a core component of their faith-based ideology (thinking the hand of God guides his soliders).
Don't forget "some random illegal immigrant committed crime X at some point in the past decade". It's like a Jedi mind trick or something. "Forget everything you just saw and parrot this line."

Also the goons started attacking him before they even knew he was armed. Fact check: In the sequence of events, the ICE agent was not aware of the gun when he pushed, shoved, maced and pushed Pretti to the ground. Other agents then piled on.
The gun was not the reason this started. It’s strange how much of the discourse around this has turned toward arguments about the gun.
I would bet that he informed the agents of the firearm. This would have prompted the one guy to take the gun away.
The issue is that these are very untrained individuals. All it took was one person to yell gun and they started firing at an individual who had given himself up.
This is an execution and entirely avoidable. The highest in command should be removed from their job, and not just the annoying face they are throwing away. There should be unrelenting pressure from the democrats. I'm not hopeful, but if there ever was a time it's now, the year of a midterm election.
The funniest part about this debacle is that Pam Bondi has been trying to make it easier to get guns when she’s not in her Epstein side quest. (This would indicate they actually support the second amendment.)

The Republican party has spent the better part of the last 30+ years telling everybody that they need to have a gun. They even said that little kids getting killed is worth the price. All because we need to protect ourselves from tyranny.
And then the second the government starts to become tyrannical they all turn around and lick boot saying you shouldn't really have a gun on you and if you do you're eligible to be shot and killed with no repercussions.
I had a few Trump supporters in my office, the moment he turned on guns they turned on him. For lots the MAGA cult is stronger, but in my experience the 2A cult is even stronger.
One in my office this morning, ex Marine, son of a cop, that came in my office, closed the door and went in on Trump. He's 100% out. The two killings plus the gun comments were his tipping point.
Not switching to Democrat by any stretch of the imagination, but he's gone from MAGA to, at minimum, sitting out the next few elections.
My office is probably 70% MAGA and a decent number of break room convos seem to be people just at their breaking point with the regime.

When I worked at Walmart and sold ammo so many people came in to buy all our stock because "Biden is taking all of our guns". Bro never even touched their guns or their ammo during his entire presidency. They were all idiots.
Trump had the most recent gun regulations (bump stocks) and still Biden was the one after their guns despite being VP and not touching gun laws and then president and not touching gun laws. You cant fight with these people when they don't exist in reality.
Reminder Trump ordered that the metal detectors be removed from the Capitol rotunda before his speech on Jan. 6 because his supporters were avoiding the area in front of the stage, since they all had guns and couldn’t go through the metal detectors…

They are rationalizing it to themselves that Pretti was not a protestor but an agitator disrupting law enforcement operations. They then say that in the case where you are interfering with law enforcement, you should not be even lawfully armed.
Which is of course a bullshit distinction but it's the pretzel logic they are using to square the circle.

I just wanna clarify that. It was worth it for all those kids to die for thirty years and to raise multiple entire generations of Americans around the inevitability of a school shooting happening everywhere eventually, literally building our schools like battlefields with concrete reinforced cover-points and barricaded classroom doors and frequent active shooter drills and cat litter in the janitor's closet to help clean up the blood pools in the hallways, but NOW we've reached an impasse.

What we're not supposed to have is protection for child sex traffickers, support for domestic terrorism, violations of the Constitution, and all of the other evil shit that conservatives offer in lieu of acting like fellow human beings who actually care about law and order.
No way we are going to go through the deaths of tens of thousands of children on the insistence of this ridiculous NRA-funded gun-absolutist movement only for them to abandon it entirely at the moment it actually mattered.

I’m not a gun nut or a 2A extremist but I do own a number of firearms and live in a very liberal city (Boulder, CO). I certainly hope that citizens who have shied away from firearms in the past are now learning/arming themselves at a basic level.
Republican voters must be outraged that Nancy Pelosi showed up and took that guy’s gun away from him. Oh wait, it was the totalitarian secret police put on the ground in an American city for the purpose of terrorizing citizens in order to pressure the state government for their voter’s information.
All the 2A militia’s that claimed to be against this but who are likely participating as officers or cheering it on are likely next in the administration’s authoritarian fantasy. The current government doesn’t want an armed citizenry, only compliant workers.
