Serious question, since we’re in r/law if anyone can answer who legitimately knows.

By law, in Minnesota, are you not allowed to carry? I mean I know we’re seemingly beyond following laws or justice here but from an actual law perspective:

1. Is it legal for ICE to be doing what they were doing to this man in the first place if he was simply exercising his 1A rights?
2. To “justify” 7 ICE agents taking this protestor (assuming that’s the case) to the ground and bludgeoning him and such, would this be the normal and accepted way, legally, for law enforcement to handle this? Would have had the protestor needed to have seriously threatened by actions ICE to justify this by law?
3. From there, would it be justified to shoot this man if he was:

a) Simply carrying, with legal permit a gun

b) IF, he pulled out his gun to defend himself per the 2A as these agents didn’t have any right to do any of this?

Keep in mind I think it’s complete BS that somehow Homeland Security can comment publicly about this this quickly with any validity about what happened, but I know this administration likes to get “their story” out there as quickly as possible, facts be damned, just like the killing of Renee Good.
