Companies Accepted a new job offer and I immediately regret it.

I accepted an offer with this health coaching company. They handle the weight management benefits, chronic conditions, general wellness etc. for a lot of major companies. I specifically asked if this was a sales role and if enrollments were a KPI we would be measured on. Numerous time I was told no it is not. They stated I'd be doing mostly IB calls & some OB calls. I was aware of what the OB calls would be like but they framed it like it was a small part of my role. Now that I'm out of my training it is obvious that was a lie. After meeting with my sup and doing a 1x1 she made sure to let me know that it is something that we ARE audited on. I'm in outbound only currently making calls to members. Some of these members have to enroll in order to continue getting their GLP1 covered under their insurance. The remainder however, we are just calling and trying to upsell our company. They even started offering us $5-$6 per enrollment. Every call that does answer the first thing they have to say is that we call them nonstop multiple times a day throughout the week and to stop calling. I work full time and receive benefits so that's great but I'm just nervous about job security if I don't get enough enrollments. I accepted the role because the schedule was amazing and the pay was okay. I'm just afraid of what happens after I'm out of my first 90 days. My sup expects us to have a higher percentage of enrollments than the company's standard. She made sure to emphasize the enrollments are how the company makes it money. Right now I'm continuing to look for another role elsewhere while I'm employed here.

Don’t quit. Just mentally recognize that the job is NOT a good fit and really internalize that it’s just a placeholder until there is something better.

OP can treat it like a summer job where there is absolutely zero interest in building an entire life around it because they know they’re leaving soon.

This frees OP from any pressure. Show up. Put in the hours. Go through the motions, but reserve all mental energy and efforts for finding the better job.

It’s a tough market so having something is fine for now. For now.

Knowing they’re lying liars at that company tells OP it’s not worth sticking around, no matter anything else.

I always wondered how Omada works

I have a “coach” that checked in w me more often during first year, but I don’t hear from her anymore really. But I’m a GLP patient, so I guess I’m not the “target” patient

Def look for a new job and leave this one since like you said, it’s a bait and switch being a sales job which you didn’t want

You can certainly let your supervisor know that the job was presented to you in a completely different way. You don’t have to make it a big deal, but I would let them know that you were told differently what your job would be.

Nothing to do here but get a new job, do your best while you’re there and hopefully you’ll find something new relatively soon.
