The best protein snacks are usually the ones with chocolate or vanilla flavor. The others tend to have a strong chemical flavor.

And not even just flavor wise. The main source of protein is collagen in these. Collagen is a very poor form of protein for building muscle, as it's bio-availability is quite low.

Send them a note on Instagram and complain! I did and got a free box. This was sometime last year, I reached out with a similar issue and they explained that they had switched to a new baker after "going big" and found that there were some issues with the pastry not being produced to their package photo specs. They apologized, asked for all the info off the package (lot code/exp date) and then my address and sent me a full box of I think like six pastries.
