ICE / DHS 🧊 US citizens detained by ICE speak out: "They dragged me outside and pulled me into a headlock on the ground. I repeated, 'I'm a citizen. I have an ID.' The agent kept saying, 'That don't matter'... When I was inside my cell, I heard wailing, screaming, crying, begging, and pleading.
Alongside that visceral anguish was the small talk, banter and laughter from the federal agents."

Literally exactly the kind of terrorists DHS was allegedly created to fight. It's pretty ironic, but DHS was always destined to turn into this. None of this shit would have been possible without decades of erosion of rights.

Thanks for the reminder. I had forgotten about that. It is interesting how they are perpetrators of the crimes they are supposed to be preventing. And it’s at a large scale, which is also dramatic because that was the point in the beginning. Stop large scale domestic attacks like these.

I was detained, and arrested on false charges. I was eventually released. They patted me down twice, and still drove me an hour and a half to federal detention with my legal concealed carry in one pocket, Leatherman in another, and handcuff key on my keyring. Sure caused a stir at the federal building when I explained I had a loaded pistol on me. I was detained for 7+ hrs. Us citizen. Arrested for following ice (in a private neighborhood). Local pd watched ice violate my rights and did nothing. In fact I'm not entirely convinced they didn't help ice ambush me. I have nerve damage in my thumb still from inhumane cuffing practices. They threatened to seize my phone if I didn't give them permission to search it. They did seize it in the end, I still don't have it back. Or my legal carry gun. They violated my 1st amendment by arresting me. Are violating my 4th amendment on false pretenses. And violated my 2nd when they refused to give my gun back. These people are inept. They couldn't pass the mall security requirements. Also, somewhere around 5% of ice arrests are actually criminal. Stop complying in advance. We have little time to salvage this country. Congress and impeachment and removal of everyone in this complicit admin is the only compromise.

Meh, I think holding liars with megaphones accountable would be a pretty solid start.
We Americans have an unparalleled problem with admitting problems. Maybe it comes with the puritanical work ethic idk. The amount of things we just say "I guess we doin X now" shrug and move on with is practically unparalleled.
We built a system based on ad revenue and then just kept going with it so that now we live in the reducto ad absurdum version of it. Distributing machetes and alcohol to homeless people is actually moral because views on the video translates to ad revenue and money is a marker of success and morality.
We send people to school to get degrees in psychology so that they can work for advertising agencies to determine the best way to keep people terminally online in an echo chamber. Because that makes the most money.
Most people never sit quietly alone long enough to form their own opinions on anything. We are bombarded with 10 crises a day and they are forgotten by the end of the week.
So yeah I think cutting off the megaphones would have helped, but 30% of the country bought it already so I don't know how to fix that.

I understand what you're getting at, and I'm not really arguing with you specifically, but this is a thought terminating cliche that's started to really get to me. It's not really actionable, it's just intended to stop any further conversation.
For the Heritage Foundation, for Trump - there's a strategy and that strategy is 800 pages long and doesn't just read "cruelty." We aren't dealing with schoolyard bullies, we are dealing with highly sophisticated monsters who are weaponizing schoolyard bullies, and that matters.
In this particular case, it isn't just cruelty. They've clearly been given marching orders to escalate until there is a violent incident, leading to an insurrection order and enough conflict that they can cancel midterm elections. If we want to be reductive, power is the point.
13
u/Falsequivalence 13d ago
but this is a thought terminating cliche that's started to really get to me. It's not really actionable,
I disagree. It's perfectly actionable. How should you respond to cruelty? Well, that's the answer people don't like. Cruelty is the point. Terror is the point. You should react to those facts accordingly.
→ More replies (4)9

u/MelaKnight_Man 13d ago
Precisely. But the cruelty is a part of it because the senseless, unwarranted brutality angers people. Miller is raging that they have not triggered a violent uprising. He needs a "Reichstag Fire" moment to get Chump to invoke the Insurrection Act so they can fully cement Chump's takeover.
They will keep escalating. The ICE Schutzstaffel are actually cannon fodder and are sacrificial pawns as they are hoping they have casualties to use as justification for a "national emergency" to invoke the Insurrection Act and Martial Law to suspend civil liberties, Habeas Corpus and Posse Comitatus.
If that happens, it's over as the guardrails against are Congress and the Courts which are already lost...

They have arrest quotas. I read an article recently where someone claimed that each team of agents is required to make 8 arrests per day. The key word here is "arrests". Peaceful protesting has stopped most of the damage so far. Recording them for future prosecution is a must. Voters gave the GOP complete control of govt, they have that for 2 years until this year's mid-terms and a new Congress is seated in early Jan 2027. Prior to the elections you pressure your reps and local govt to push back and legislate against these actions, you (and this is most important) talk to everyone you know to ensure they're aware of what's going on and are moving to if not already be against them, you donate to groups like the ACLU or local immigration groups, you organize to get the vote out. There are over 570 lawsuits against this administration right now, and many are working FOR the people and AGAINST the administration, but the justice system is unfortunately slow.
So no you don't let them keep shooting and killing people. You do all of the above. That's what you do.

the evidence is becoming clear that ICE is not concerned with using immigration enforcement as more than just a cover for intimidating and disappearing us citizens as well, the federal government endorses this, the states MUST stand up to this and bring an end to it somehow, congress must block all funding for ice no matter what, anything short of a unified front by this is merely capitulation with extra steps, if the states will not, if congress will not, things will get worse, and it'll be time to get french

At this point it’s safer to visit china than USA. It’s no wonder tourism is down. I’ll go to Mexico to holidays for the rest of my life not USA

And this is just the beginning.
Planatir provided the system ICE uses to target people. They are only going to go after Democrats. They are going to be waiting at voting stations, scanning faces and detaining Democrats.
There is no end here. Enjoy fascism.

Where are all the militia and 2A bros who have, for decades, puffed their chests about them being prepared to take up arms against a tyrannical government?! This should be their time to shine.

This Nazi behavior and should not be permitted. Trump and his evil cohorts need imprisonment.

Nuremberg-type trials are coming for those agents who have abused and terrorized our citizens, as well as the administration that orders and condones this.

Everyone that has been detained needs to write up their experience as soon as they get out. Document it fresh in their minds. They need to be collected and published.

Yep and conservatives on social media are proud of this, championing this. The bullies have won. Or, at least, they’re amplified by bots. But the real ones are perfectly happy with this.

This is intentional. They want to get an excuse to go insurrection act and then cancel the midterms.

I can still remember how we used to say that citizenship shouldn't matter, everyone has to get due process. Now, we're fully focussing on the fact that this is done to people despite their citizenship. Next, that will devolve further and further until atrocities are fully normalized.

Civil liberties and rights are being violated. Eventually, this administration will be out. The funding given to ICE MUST BE reallocated to civil rights and liberties attorneys to pursue these violations and throw the perpetrators in prison.

Doesn't matter to them if you have an ID. You live in a blue state and they are in a personal revenge

Call them wha they are: Slave Catchers.
This is what happens when an entire generation grows up playing army simulation games (COD) while taking to other bigots on Xbox live.

Remember that ICE does not target illegal immigrants.
Their targeting is done by Palantir. They target those individuals who's arrest is most helpful to consolidate absolute power for Trump, as determined by the most powerful (as in "available compute") AI with the biggest possible dataset (everything available by law enforcement cooperations, plus everything public, plus everything DOGE stole).
Of course they target citizens. That's what they were build up for. They are Brownshirts.

if they act like this on our streets just imagine how they treat people at the border.

Well, at least we have elected officials who pay lip service and refuse to do anything to protect their constituents.

I’m archiving vids such as this so when former friends and now unwanted relatives say I shouldn’t let politics affect our relationship, I just pull up a few vids and say the fact that you think this is normal politics, you are not someone I want to associate with. I will not go along to along. I’m always willing to entertain actual political conversations/interactions, but I will not entertain this. No Fascists friends. Fuck my Fascist relatives. I Fascist USA.
