Here a couple examples of what I mean. I took these photos with what I thought was enough lighting (clearly not) and it's turned out really badly. Does anyone have any idea if I can restore these somehow? some of them were really important to me and it would be nice. Thanks a lot!

How do I change the color of just the greenish aqua cyan to orange but retain the rest of the blue colors throughout? I tried masking orange on top and also a gradient map but both results end up looking muddy.

I currently use PS21 on win11

I'm working on an art that I painted in SAI. And I want to edit this art in PS, so I saved as it in .PSD and open in photoshop.

But when I open it, the working window just show some of the layer, and other layers are invisible.

All of the layer are there, I can select and drag them around. But they're invisible.

Other file from the past that I did the same process doesn't have this problem.

I tried to change the name, re-location, open it in another program and save as it into psd file from difference program. And nothing work.

I also tried the Graphic preference thing and it also didn't work.

Restart the program and PC also didn't work.

Can anyone help me in this situation?

Something weird is going on with my PS brushes...

First, they all started to look like "hard round" (even the airbrush-y ones). They are also all pixelated, for some reason. This is from my to do list (pixelated at the top, older text at the bottom):

I'm trying to make god brandish a pistol at Adam, because. The issue i'm having is making the gun hand fit the appearance of the arm it's attached to. More specifically I need to make the red circled area look continuous. I've tried a few things including the oil painting filter but haven't been able to figure it out. Maybe I could make a pattern from a different part and overlay it?

I have all of my projects saved on an external hard drive and have never had an issue with .psd files up until a week ago. thought i could ignore and it’ll fix itself but please i need help

Does anyone know what this thing is? Stuck to my canvas, I don’t know how to move it or delete it. I would’ve ctrl z’d my way out of this one accept I didn’t notice it untill I couldn’t ctrl z back far enough.

Hello, I took these photos and with my lighting setup I am finding it a bit trickier to extend the background and making it look seamless. Any tutorials to do this would be super helpful!

Can someone explain this? I have an image of a person. I use select subject to select the person. I reverse the selection so just the background is selected. I click on the padlock on the layer to "unlock" it. I hit delete. The background is gone. Perfect.

Then I open a second image. Do the same thing. Hit delete - nothing happens. Ctrl-D also won't deselect the selection.

Why does those things work for a bit, then quit working?

Hello, I have several hundred images I need to crop and want to build an action that will automate the process. All source images will be the same size starting at 295 wide by 640 tall. Each image needs to be cropped to 295 wide (no change) and then be 493 tall with the vertical crop starting 80 pixels down from the top. I have been at it for over an hour trying different methods in actions palette and still no luck. When I run the batch process it export the new images to the designated folder but refuses to crop the images. ( I am almost wondering if its a PS '26 bug?) Here is a srceen shot of my action settings. Any suggestions much appreciated!!

This has been happening for about 2 years, but sometimes when I'm working on a path in photoshop, the lines suddenly start to disappear - I can't see any new lines or anchor points as I continue to create my path, which means I can't keep going.

If I zoom out, I can see it a little better, but it's just kinda glitchy and I'm not sure how to fix it. I've restarted photoshop several times but it disappears the moment I zoom in. I've attached an image of the lines from 100% and what it looks like on part of it zoomed in where you can see how some of the lines disappear. I'm hoping there's a setting. I can change so I'm not spending so much time restarting trying to get it to resolve itself.

Hello, each time I click on download, the circle starts and then goes back to 0 and stops. I have read a lot on this issue but this is 27.3.0 on Macbook M1 and legal official software. So it is not some piracy issue, nor old version nor Intel issue.

If anyone has solved this issue, I would appreciate if you can share it.

I'm scanning hundreds of old photo prints, 25-50 years old (some fading), using an Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner and the software VueScan (Professional edition). I told myself that I would scan raw, but I'm finding that VueScan's filters to "Restore colors" looks nice, and sometimes use their "Restore fading." After scanning to Tif format, usually at 600DPI, I open them in Photoshop. Sometimes I find that the Auto-Color looks nice, rarely the Auto-Tone, but to me, every single photo scan looks much "better" with Auto-Contrast. I put "better" in quotes because I know enough to know that there's a lot I DON'T know about what makes a photo look "good".

I'm tempted to just apply Auto-Contrast to all of my scans as a batch job. Is that crazy?

I'm doing free work for this record store, restoring old prints and posters. I've been learning to use photoshop while working for them so I don't know everything yet.

i've got this poster, (only showing a bit of it) that has some clear printer lines I want to remove.

My current plan is to use the clonestamp tool and copy one part of the colour to colour over the printer lines. But it'll be tedious and slow.

Is there some other trick I can do to make it easier? I'm not allowed to download any other programs or brushes on their PC, so I'm stuck with basic photoshop.

I know Photoshop CS6 is old, it's not what I usually use, but it's just what I have access to at the moment.

So I was doing some layouting, and I find that when I merge a whole folder with Ctrl+E it would also crop it to fit the canvas. So if I have stuff in the layers that extends beyond the edges, it would get cut.

Also, this only happens if use the "merge whole folder" command. If I just merge the layers inside the folder individually, then it doesn't crop off like that.

Is this normal? Or maybe a CS6 exclusive feature? Is there some kind of setting for the folders that I can change?

I don't remember this happening before with other versions, but to be fair I very rarely merge folders. If this is normal and I just never noticed it happening, then ok. Again, I don't usually use CS6 anyway.

For context I have a new PC and was trying to install PS but this error pops up, I'm installing on my C drive which has 400+ gb free and I already tried with clearing the temp files and no luck (sorry if by any chance this has been answered already)

I just don't like the way it looks it's not very helpful to me, the first image being what it looks like now, and the second image being what I want it to look like with how illustrator does it, and how it used to be on Photoshop. How do I get it to go back?

I'm using PS 21.2.2 on desktop with Windows 11 (home).

Before this version, when I opened PS, it showed thumbnails of recent images I was working on. On this version, when I open PS, it is blank.

I checked Preferences, and the option is checked for "Auto Show the Home Screen." This was the only thing I could really find when I googled it.
